now everytime i try to boot up it automatically boots into my bootcamp partition. i dont know what to do right now. i cant boot into osx.
Hold down Option on switch on, select the OS X partition, then go into disk utility and select the startup drive to be the OS X partition.

I'm not sure why so many disliked the "noise" from the superdrive... I actually didn't mind it, it was sort of a "reassuring sound" that my mbp was starting up, but it could be just me...
The person who mentioned that it was too loud (and compared it to a boeing plane) to open in a classroom... Seriously?!?!
I have 3 different macbooks at my disposal at any given time, yes the "noise" is in all of them, but I wouldn't compare it to an airplane... maybe the problem is with something else![]()

I bet Steve just got jack of the tiny amount of noise from his laptop he stole the whole software division to fix it.
So the EFI update isnt for MacBookPro5,3 then?
