Also.....

So this is a "sub" and tweeter combo? I won't ask where the pictures came from. I'm surprised it doesn't show up in the specification. They just talk about the wattage and the improved sound.

I can't answer that as I don't know. They did the same with the 17" MBP too.

All I want is a Big Mac :)

Sorry Just I have been begging my dad for ages to get me a Macbook Pro and he said that to me in the most random way and it was so funny :p

Is there any Winblows fanboy still out there to justify the purchase of a damn PC? I don't think so...

How about "for less money I could get a system with faster CPU and GPU"? Just a thought...

Yes, I honestly believe that. Can you show me a better offer than the 24" iMac right now? Oh, running the best OS in the globe, please...thanks!

the best OS is purely subjective based on what you use it for. care to compare 3dmarks? yeah didnt think so.

besides, ill build a better rig than an iMac myself, and cheaper. like i always say, i cannot stand delusional mac fans. apple has great designs and a great OS, but people act like there is nothing that can compare, its just assinine. ill use a mac for some things and a pc for others. people who stick to one side so tenaciously just end up on the short end of the stick, or only need it for some of the things pc's enable you to do in whole.

I don't know if this has been mentioned earlier in the thread, and its far too long by now to go all the way through and look so i'm just gonna fire away.
IMO, I think its rather silly for Apple to release the new and improved iMacs before the notebooks get upgraded. Why? School is going into full swing very soon if not already in many many places. Students need portability. Don't get the wrong, I think the new 24" iMac is SWEEEEEEEET! I just would have thought that Apple would release the new portables before the desktops. ::shrugs:: Now I feel like a need a 24" iMac..THEN a merom notebook..when those are released..

BRLAWYER has simply altered his postition to make it seem more reasonable, but it doesn't change the fact that the original statement is false and him altering his position proves that he cannot support the original assertion. :p

Oh, I agree, though I think he's more added to his original statement rather than changed his position. He still believes what he said, which is fine. He just kept adding more information to his original thought to clarify what he really meant. He should've posted what he meant initially, rather than getting irritated when others brought up points to argue his initial post. It's completely understandable that others would have issue with his statements, especially as he tacked on more in each post to argue his position.

And you can't (probably shouldn't) argue with fanboys. It leads to more of that head and wall banging thing. :)

Great product. I love the big display. Can't wait to see the new iMac.

If you're lucky you might get a nice case re-design as well. Make sure you say 100 "hail Steve"s before you go to bed. :D

Take NVIDIA GF7900. Add Conroe. Add RAM and HD and suitable MoBo. Add a case. Get a screen. There. A system that mops the floor with the iMac. And for reasonable price. And it's expandable as well. Of course you might say that iMac is "elegant" and "beautiful". But are those two such a qualities that you should pay large sums of money for them? I DO find iMac to be a good and interesting computer. But I do NOT think that it's the ultimate computer tthat will annihilate every other computer out there.

As for OS.... Some people like OS X, others do not. You obviously love it, and I find it good OS as well. But there are other OS'es out there that I like just as much, if not more.

You are right. Being best, like beauty, is subjective. It's not delusional, assinine, or wrong.

I personally feel that Apple assembles the best computers and operating system, it's subjective, and I feel good about it.

You can't stand people because of how they feel about a computer? Wow, that's harsh :(

Oh well, now I'm hungry too :(

Why do I want to install a soundcard? Mh... I'm into music, and I love good sound quality... which kind of contradicts with onboard sound. And it's pretty obvious why someone would like to have more HD space.

You can get good looking high quality cases for PCs too... like this one. http://www.caseking.de/shop/catalog/images/GELI_055_1g.jpg?pID=3368 It does look somewhat familiar though...

I would totally agree with you. Apple computers are almost deffinitely the best and OSX is by far the best OS at the moment (IMO). There really isn't a computer maker like Apple, and it's kind nice that way.

Now if only they'd make a machine I can justify buying (ie: suits my needs perfectly)!
