Looks like apple is defently having some issues since I thought I had the beta 8 of Big Sur installed but some how my computer restarted due some kind of error and now looks like it can’t find the update

What are the new features coming on apple mail with big sur over catalina ?

I don't know as far as new features, but there is one feature that has never appeared in Mail and it's the only reason why I don't use Mail. In Outlook Mac, I have sections in my inbox that can be enabled and they say today, yesterday, last week and so on. It makes things easier to see and find for me. In Mail, it's all jumbled into one giant list.

Anyone find System Prefs sluggish. Some prefs take a while to open, get wheel of death before they do. Apple sign in details stay empty for a while when you open prefs.

Yes, system preferences is very buggy, especially iCloud and Software Update. Often not responding. This release is far from stable imho.

Well, it finds the update then fails to begin the download. I guess this isn't going to happen this evening. I'll try again tomorrow - perhaps they'll fix the issue.

My biggest issue in Beta 7 was excrutiatingly slow open file dialogues from within apps. It was ridiculous. Hoping this addresses it.

Bring on the full release! :)

I would not release this for at least three more betas. Depending on your config, the GUI performance on a modern Mac can really lag if you try do something like watch a HDR video while doing some work at the same time. 3D performance is not impressive either and lags behind Catalina.

They changed the boot / login screen. I just restarted my MacBook Air 2020 and saw a different password mask.
Just a black screen without a background images. After you type in your password you'll see the loading bar, after 70 percent your profile picture and your name is gone and its only showing the apple logo a few seconds before you'll see your desktop

They didn’t change it, its a bug that’ happening, you can restart and see for yourself, as you won’t experince it again.

I restarted now three times, it was all time the same. I don't believe its a bug. And I like it; now it looks more 'integrated' in the total boot sequence

The earlier Big Sur betas (and previous versions of macOS) would have my desktop picture as my login screen, but then it went to the Big Sur default light as the login screen in the most recent Big Sur betas. Weird.
