Apple says that this beta qualifies for 50 percent of the Apple Security Bounty bonus payment for security researchers who discover issues that are unknown to Apple or reintroduced in this release.

"Hey, guys, I got a great idea: Let's give security researches incentive to hold onto bugs until final release when it can really screw our customers over."

*slow clap*

Does anyone know if they fixed the alignment with this Beta? Sidecar in Public Beta 3 was unusable, because it was misaligned from my pencil by about an inch

I don't know as far as new features, but there is one feature that has never appeared in Mail and it's the only reason why I don't use Mail. In Outlook Mac, I have sections in my inbox that can be enabled and they say today, yesterday, last week and so on. It makes things easier to see and find for me. In Mail, it's all jumbled into one giant list.
You could create smart mailboxes for that. However, you'd need to create one for each (e.g. "Today", "Yesterday") and click on each one to see the relevant mails. Not as neat as Outlook.

The layout has changed. There's no dedicated "unified mailboxes" section. Instead, they can be added to favourites which now appear in the sidebar. Note that each account's mailboxes (inbox, sent, trash etc.) still show (in Catalina, they would not show if unified mailboxes was enabled).

Notification Center is an absolute mess in Big Sur. Huge step backwards. We now have to click "options" and then "show more" before quick replying in a messages notification. Big step forward, Apple. Nice work.

I have a 2018 Mac mini with an eGPU (Radeon RX 480 8 GB).

Can you inform if it boots showing the Apple logo with the eGPU on? Also if its stable using bootcamp (Windows 10). Thanks!

Nope, no Apple logo or login screen. 2018 mini, RX 580, FileVault enabled. I didn't try it without FileVault. Some people claim that works, though.

Can anybody confirm FCPX, Lightroom and Photoshop work ok under this latest beta? Any known problems with these apps? Thanks

Anyone able to unlock Mac with Apple Watch? still unable too in Beta 8
I have been able to with the first 3 public betas, jut finished installing Beta8 ...
I had to unpair/pair my watch due to battery draining issues with watchOS7 (long thread in the AW forum), someone there posted this link and that procedure worked just now on my iMac running Mojave, might do it on my MBP with Beta 8 later

Edit: just set it up on the beta, had to do it twice, didn't work on first try

Has the NetworkExtension API been fixed yet (i.e. AdGuard not breaking Safari/YouTube/Twitter videos etc.)?

EDIT: Twitter videos are no longer broken. YouTube still is.

I have been using all 3 for production work. Lightroom runs fine but gets real laggy and I mean too laggy after sometime of use. Don’t know why. Then it starts working ok after a while. Importing data from my Prograde 300MB/S reader and same speed SD card is wayyyyy slower than Catalina.

photoshop works fine. FCPX works great. But a few of my plugins from Pixel Film Studios don’t seem to install correctly. Have tried workarounds but they fail.

Caving in and taking the Public Beta plunge. Anyone have any issues with Antivirus software? Specifically Mcaffee. I know I had a 'legacy system extensions' message when I installed on Catalina. 12.16GB download. Excited to hear the old start up sound from years ago! Here we go!!!
Mcafee is dead with iOS 11 public beta 8, but everything else works awesome.

Can anyone try coping big file to usb flash drive? I find that it is much slower than previous version (8GB took more than 6 minutes on my macbook pro 16).
