GM next week

GM next week
I still think we will see iOS 14 this month and iOS 14.1 next month, or very soon after. BUT if that is the case we would need to see a beta for 14.1 very soon.
No GM. It’s going to be next month, next week so for iPads maybe some other stuff like Macs or AirPods. The iPhones which bring new iOS aren’t being announced till next month.
I think it is way more important for them to have the new watches able to use the latest software on release than having iOS and iPhones release synced up.Watches maybe but they could also release new ones still on 6 just with pending features. but iPads won’t necessarily need 14. But what are the chances of uncoupling iOS release from iPhone.

who says they aren't already there? So I'm just going to assume, app defaults won't come until 14.1?
Never touching a .1 beta again since the fiasco with transferring from XS Max to 11PM caused by 13.1 betaThere's always 14.1 beta to look forward to.
Realistically speaking, at this point in the beta process there likely shouldn't be much if anything being added, just things getting fixed and polished basically.Did I simply miss what Beta 8 adds?

Assuming that what the event is actually about relates to iOS 14.iOS 14 GM will be pushed out to developers next week on the 15th, right after the keynote. They usually do that.
All of the widget bugs seem to be taken care of, but it seems my battery (iPhone 11, 4 months old) is draining significantly faster since last weeks beta. Anyone else experience that?
May be a lame question, but do you have ‘Background App Refresh’ on for Weather? Even if you do, weather refresh is always touchy. Can imagine with widgets and new source it may take a while to get right.Even with this build, the weather widget is off. It may say rainy and 75, but when I open it, it's 82 and sunny. When I close it, it *may* update the actual widget.
Nice. You now have access to the content behind the Siri interface (so you can scroll etc. while using Siri).![]()
Battery has been all over the place. I’m on a iPhone 11 (battery capacity 95%) and it will read 100% for a while. I’ll reboot it and it will be around 86-89%. It’s not draining significantly for me, just seems like calibration is off. Battery life is better on iOS 13.6.1 for me though. All of the widget bugs seem to be taken care of, but it seems my battery (iPhone 11, 4 months old) is draining significantly faster since last weeks beta. I’m on beta 7 and I can’t access the content behind Siri, it just dismisses Siri as soon as I try to scroll. This was present in DB7 as well.![]()
