Let's hope the Siri improvements address "Hey Siri" only working approximately 8% of the time...

There is a slight learning curve to get the timing right. Once you get it, it works almost every time. I'm at about 98% success rate.

Maybe I didn't notice it before, but in 1.0.1 it seems like the colon between Hours and Minutes is blinking on the digital watch faces (Astronomy, Solar). Was that present on the Apple Watch 1.0 software? Also is the blinking (more of a fade-out) representing seconds?

Good to see the improvements coming. Apple will Improve this device with each software patch

For anyone interested it looks like the emojis are just the basic ones taken from your phone, including your most frequently used ones at the top.

This will please my wife who thinks the animated ones are just creepy.

As others have said, glances appear snappier, I don't use third party apps except Dark Sky so can't really comment on that.

Yep, that was present before, and yep, that's seconds.

You workout for more than 4.5h? Because that's about the time it takes to drain the watch if you don't also use bluetooth for music.

Very true. And you are correct, but most people don't work out that long. But some of us do! At least every 1-2 weeks, I go for a 4-5 hour run. And about 6-7 times a year, I go for a run that lasts for 8-14 hours.

Obviously, I don't use the Apple Watch for those. I use the Garmin Fenix 2 instead. I doubt the Apple Watch will ever be able to handle a 14-hour run. As power consumption drops and battery power increases, Apple will simply add more powerful features versus creating functionality that less than 1/1000 of 1% of their users could use.

They've tweaked the Calendar complication so that it takes up less room with on-the-hour events. I.e. it shows "2PM Podcast Record" instead of "2:00PM Pocas." It's the little things.

This would be great, but I'm not seeing it on the Utility watch face. Which watch face are you using?

Anyone else not able to download? The wheel is just spinning. "Looking for updates"

Well 1.0.1 fixed something, because it hasn't failed me even once since the update!

can anyone with 1.0 compare this with your astronomy face? It might be the safari-snappier placebo but to my eyes earth is more saturated in 1.0.1:

I just came to this thread to post this! It definitely looks different to me

mine had been checking for updates for ever nothing just stuck on checking i restarted phone restarted watch app still sits just searching

Every time I'm at an modest coffee shop and see someone pull out an iPad I respond by pulling out my Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 rocking Android 5.0.2 Lollipop with Samsung's innovative TouchWiz UI, a lightning fast quard core Qualcomm Snapdragon, 1.5 GB RAM, and of course a microSDXC card slot for expansion. Bam. Checkmate.

lol. So, so, funny.... like anyone cares to know all that junk. They just want an internet connection that works.

i thought most android users are geeks who like to download pirated games and manga and spend their time adjusting their settings on their phone lol

Relax, Mr. zoomcrypt. When I was typing out my original post I assure you my tongue was firmly in cheek.

You realize iPad-dude neither knows nor cares about any of your random number specs, simply sees a generic Galaxy-something-or-other, and feels sorry for you that you're obviously too poor to afford a real iPad?

You might spend your time trying to out-iPad the iPad-dudes, but nobody ever tried to out-Android anyone. You're losing a race that nobody else is participating in.

Really? I wear my Apple Watch all day (ca. 16h) including a 2 hour workout and when I go to sleep my Apple Watch is at 15% battery.

Same. One of the biggest surprises for me is the battery life. It's been so much better than I thought it would be. I can use it plenty, including 90-120 minute workouts, and go to bed with it at 40%. I thought it would be dead by then, but it's not. I'm getting lots of usage.
