I listen to Amazon Music on Bluetooth headphones at work, and with past versions it would forget which app was active when I hit pause. After 5 minutes or so I’d have to launch the app and restart the song instead of just hitting play on the headphones. Today, with 11.2, my batteries died, and when I replaced the headphone battery and reconnected, it automatically started playing where I’d left off. If that translates to better pause/play behavior with third party apps, then this upgrade will be extremely welcome. Seems like a little thing, but it’s a constant every day thing, so that makes it a bigger thing to me! :)

that would be great if that works with soundcloud also... !

If you’re getting an iPhone X on Friday, don’t update to this beta. I just checked the public beta XML on Apple‘s servers and the iPhone X identifiers (iPhone10,3 and iPhone10,6) can’t be found in there. There also isn’t any sign of iPhone X support for the developer beta, neither in the XML nor in the restore images listed in the Apple Developer portal.

So, if you update to iOS 11.2 beta, be aware that iPhone X support might not be added until beta 2. If your old iPhone is running iOS 11.2, you might not be able to restore that backup to iOS 11.1 on iPhone X.

My dad found this out the hard way. He never removed the beta profile from his iPhone 7+ after iOS 11 came out and it automatically updated to iOS 11.2 Beta. Now he's stuck because he got his iPhone X this morning but can't restore his data from his 7 and there's no way to load 11.2 Beta on the iPhone X yet.

So he's screwed until the next beta comes out and (hopefully) supports iPhone X.

11.2 beta is now available for iPhone X:

What device is that? Doesn't seem like most are experiencing this.
iPad Pro 9.7
Been doing it for a while. Since one of the 11.1 betas I think.
Don’t think I’ve experienced it outside of the Safari search box. Pauses for a few seconds after the first couple of characters, then suddenly catches up. Along with the keyboard animations.

Edit: still does it on 11.2 pb1.
