Apple Releases First Beta of iOS 11 to Public Beta Testers

I am shocked. I find OS11 far from being ready for a public beta.

So long as this public beta includes the update for AirPods. Siri only understands me about 50% of the time while I'm running (out of breathe and ambient street noise don't help) I really need pause on one side and next track on other side.

My AirPods wouldn't update to the latest firmware through my iPhone running iOS 11 DP1 or DP2. Not sure if that changed with the public beta. Once I downgraded to iOS 10 they updated immediately, then I reinstalled the beta.

I am on Beta2, installed the new pb profile, thousands of restarts, not seeing the update.

Maybe Beta2 ist the problem?

I have the same. I get a feeling you can’t get from Build J to build I via software irrelevant of what profile is involved.

I reinstalled the beta-profile the second time(!!), restarted and then it showed up. So, try again!

I tried 5 times and it's not working

So far the most annoying issue I’ve seen in b2 is I can’t upload a file from Safari to iCloud Drive via the extension. I get to the selection screen in a Files, but when I choose iCloud the whole window turns white.

Can't wait to hear if DirecTV Now and Plex work with this one. The developer's beta did not. Maybe now that its public, there will be movement from all concerned to make them work again.

Plex works, you just have to double tab/press on the touchpad from the black screen.

I think iOS 10 Beta 1 was probably the most stable 1st release they have ever done...
Been running the yearly beta's since iPhone OS 3.

For those having issues installing, I first cleared Safari's history and web data and then redownloaded and installed the profile. iOS 11 beta showed up after that.

That worked for me on my iPad. Thanks

On 7 plus its the same build number as beta 2 and guys its not good so wait for next beta as i had to downgrade cos so many problems

So far, it seems great. Love the new dock and app switcher. I've gone through 3 complete workflows I use nearly every day and no issues at all. I'm sure I will run into issues here and there, but thats what a beta is for.

Meh. I find that's what developers say when they're just mad they won't be part of an exclusive club anymore.

Yikes, definitely not putting it on my phone then. iPad though, is installing right now. Looking forward to those features more anyways. Does your watch have 4 installed?
