I want to update for Airpods feature and then downgrade back to iOS 10 till another beta or GM. If I downgrade my iOS will Airpods lose the new features?

Kind of. They keep the setting but when you go into settings on iOS 10 you only get the old options which updates the AirPods.

Anybody on the PB1 having issues with connecting to Apple Watch? Had the issue on DP2 since a few days ago and know others have reported the same.

Apple today released the first public beta of iOS 11 to its public beta testing group, allowing non-developers to download and test the update ahead of its fall release. iOS 11 has been available for developers since June 5, and the first public beta corresponds with the second developer beta.

Beta testers who have signed up for Apple's beta testing program will receive the iOS 11 beta update over-the-air after installing the proper certificate on an iOS device.

Those who want to join the beta testing program can sign up on Apple's beta testing website, which gives users access to iOS, macOS, and tvOS betas. Before installing a beta, make sure to create a full encrypted iTunes backup and be sure to install it on a secondary device because beta software is not stable and can include many bugs.

iOS 11 brings subtle design changes to the operating system, including a new Lock screen experience and a customizable, redesigned Control Center. Siri is smarter, has a more natural voice, and can do more, Messages features person-to-person Apple Pay, Notes has searchable handwriting and document scanning, and Music now lets you share playlists with your friends.

A new Files app improves file management on iOS devices, and for the iPad in particular, there's a new Dock, an App Switcher, and support for Drag and Drop, all of which vastly improves multitasking on the device. An entirely revamped App Store is coming in the update, photos and videos take up less space, iMessages can be stored in iCloud, and developers are getting new tools like ARKit for creating impressive new augmented reality apps and games.

For full details on all of the new features included in iOS 11, make sure to check out our iOS 11 roundup. iOS 11 will be available for developers and public testers for testing purposes for several months ahead of a planned fall release.

I really loathe people being able to get this publicly

DP2 has no connection issues with AW for me.

Have fun with the bugs kids.

They've been great in the dev beta so far. My personal favorite is that the taptic engine frequently just blatantly operates outside its normal range, making "twang" or "clunk/crack" noises. Still present in B2.

Seriously though, everyone be aware that this is still a fairly buggy build if you're about to install it on your primary device. It also seems to be running a ton of diagnostic/debugging code, because it's more than a little bit sluggish even on A10.

As tempted as I am, I think I'm going to wait for PB3 or 4 before jumping in. The potential wifi connectivity issues, Apple Watch connection issues, and Apple Music bug someone reported (constantly looping one song) are a bit too risky for me at this point.

Do i need to turn off icloud photo lib.? Thinking of the new photo and video formats...

Can't wait to hear if DirecTV Now and Plex work with this one. The developer's beta did not. Maybe now that its public, there will be movement from all concerned to make them work again.
Plex has always worked for me even since DB1. I'm on DB2 and still works without any issues. iPhone 7

Hmm. Good to know!

Nope! I did this exact thing when the first Dev Beta was released, and I have been loving the new AirPods features ever since!

They stayed for me.

I thought I read that content blockers don’t work yet on iOS 11, and can confirm while they show up and are enabled, there are ads everywhere! Almost forgot how bad web advertisements were...

As an aside, running pretty good on iPad Pro 9.7. New keyboard will take some getting used to, Going to let it sit so it can index and do all its background nonsense.

I tried iOS 11 on my iPad Pro 9.7" for a few days and in my personal experience I think the new way of accessing characters is easier.

Maybe it's just me... I don't know but I prefer the new method over old.

Liking most of it so far, only thing i hate with iOS 11 is the constant iMessage app drawer that waste a ton of space (visual space) for something i never use, i much rather see more of the message bubbles. Does not seem to be a way to hide the app drawer?
