Small file, released before GM, this far into the beta. Has to be a mistake.

Lot of people have said it, ill say it again, chances are it’s just simply beta 9.

Wild speculation: Maybe they decided the current iOS 13 is a hot mess and they’re aren’t going to be ready in time for the new phone release so they’re going to add support for new devices into what is essentially 12.4.2, call that iOS 13 and unofficially delay what’s been in iOS 13 to 13.1.

Not-so-wild speculation: I’m probably overthinking it and nothing is amiss.

It's true. My building doesn't have a 13th floor. I mean it does, it actually goes up to 17 floors. But 13 is skipped, jumps from floor 12 to floor 14. It's weird and I see it far more often than not here in the states.

I like it when you are on an elevator and you can tell by the speed of movement and how long it takes to change floor number that you have passed a floor that has no button/number. Secret floor. This is often where security is at... and is accessed from different elevator or stairwell.

Definitely not a typo, there has never been a point release in the history of iOS, during the developer beta period. Weighs in at a hefty 440 MB on my iPhone X. My guess is they realized how far things were in terms of overall stability, fit and finish, even on beta 8, that they decided to accelerate things and release 13.1 already. Surely, there are multiple teams within Apple working on/developing different branches/releases simultaneously.

Speculation aside, I just want Mail to work as expected and not crash - it’s been a hot mess since beta 1. Don’t care about anything else at this point.

Did anyone install it yet? Could potentially reveal some stuff if this was a mistake/leak.

My best guess if iOS 13.0 will be a stripped down release, mostly to support the new iPhones. They'll then put a lot of the features back to 13.1

Oh that would be a twist if they never release 13.0 for the old/current devices. Everyone has to wait for 13.1
