I like it when you are on an elevator and you can tell by the speed of movement and how long it takes to change floor number that you have passed a floor that has no button/number. Secret floor. This is often where security is at... and is accessed from different elevator or stairwell.
Ooo I haven't paid much attention to that but I definitely will now! Interesting.

It's true. My building doesn't have a 13th floor. I mean it does, it actually goes up to 17 floors. But 13 is skipped, jumps from floor 12 to floor 14. It's weird and I see it far more often than not here in the states.

Same thing in Chinese cultures where they skip the number 4

Is this a "the number 13 is taboo" thing? Like how some hotels skip the 13th floor? Maybe Apple doesn't want to release iOS 13 because some people might not install it/buy the new phone so just name it 13.1 right off the bat.

This tickled me XD
But the mail issues seem to have been patched in the most recent public beta. At least for me, anyway.

With beta 8, things seemed better at first, but then it’s almost like the Mail app is susceptible to wear and tear - the more I use it, the buggier and less stable it becomes. It only started crashing after sending emails today (something which hasn't occurred since the early betas). I’m really flummoxed. But one thing is clear, at least for me, this has categorically been the worst/buggiest/least stable developer beta run ever - I didn’t think they could top the iOS 7 developer beta phase, but they sure managed. Well done Timmy and Co.

Unlikely - Angela Ahrendts is gone.

I installed it on my iPad and it does say 13.1 (17A5821e)

I also noticed Automation is back in Shortcuts...
