This is absolutely terrible for Enterprise.
Pay into the Developer program.
not sure i get what lion server is - different than mac os server?
I think Apple is not doing as well as other server platforms in the Enterprise sector thus moving to offer it to the general public and as one more selling point for Lion.
I am more excited with the preview of Lion than with the MBP update!!!![]()
OS X LION HAS LION SERVER INTEGRATED!!!!
Very awesome release of Lion is coming, Apple is going to be the first to give away a server included with the OS

Stuff like this doesn't help them. This is yet another thing I have to restrict/remove to keep users from setting up their own "servers."
I think you misunderstood the text. It only said that there will also be an OS X Lion Server product. Nobody said that Lion Server will be a part of Lion. OS X Lion and OS X Lion Server will very obviously still be two separate products.
OS X Lion Server still is a product that cannot be taken seriously, though, unless they change its EULA so that it can legally be run on non-Apple server hardware. Because, in case people have already forgotten it, Apple is no longer developing and selling server hardware.
Simply a better server.
Lion Server is now part of Mac OS X Lion. Its easy to set up your Mac as a server and take advantage of the many services Lion Server has to offer.
Lion is really cloudified, so to say.
Not sure if I like that.
truly a shame. im also a little concerned about sandboxing of apps as mentioned on that page.
"Sandboxing protects the system by limiting the kinds of things an application can do, such as accessing files on disk or resources over the network"
