Somehow in case of Apple the budget and dollars don't really seem like they would be any sort of a limiting factor.

The article points out a number of other things, and details of the update have even more to the update than that. So, yes, just going by article headlines and not really looking into things makes it easy to come up with random digs at something since spending some time actually looking into things requires some actual effort compared to coming up with (or really just parroting) essentially pointless memes.

Tell me why does Apple seem so cheap on us then?

What I can say is whatever any of that might or might not be, it doesn't really have anything to do with the topic of the discussion in this thread.

I haven't noticed this awesome new feature yet!

Finally login/pass autofill for apps!!

And basically almost none of that applies to this update where emojis are just one small thing that was updated simply based on the Unicode standards.

Because an iOS update could do something about computer hardware. Seriously.

So why focus on some small unimportant item that was updated among everything else that is much more meaningful in the beta?

I got a prompt to set it up too after a recent update, but was able to use the skip option that was provided without any issues.

The beta is emojis and bug fixes that Apple should have tidied up anyway. What's concerning is that emojis are becoming the 'excitement' part of the update. It pathetic

If budget and dollars don't matter, it's even more worrying that all they can think of are emojis.
I could be more cynical and say that things the creative department think up in 2016 will likely be rolled out in 2026 going on Tim cooks pure profit motive and recent 'updates'

I guess the "pathetic" part is the part that some small part like emoji update is needlessly getting so much attention, especially from those who don't care about any of that. Quite a juxtaposition there.

Anyone else with an iPhone 7 Plus experiencing the Live Photo keeps toggling on by itself - bug?

*EDIT*

Preserve Setting fixes this. Bit annoying it's not obvious that they changed this...

Great answer, thank you.

So let's remove the emojis from this update. What do we get.Wallpapers which are available online for older versions,Save camera settings,Some extra buttons in Music and Video . You call this an update? These are things on Android which get updated through the Play Store not the OS

Can anybody weight on how 10.2 is working on their phones? Does it seem stable? Any noticeable difference with battery life? Any bugs that could be a showstopper?

It would be great if we could maintain the thread on topic.

Thanks!

It's all good here on my 7, not run into any problems yet and battery life is fine.

Now actual new items and plenty of bug fixes and other improvements are not an update? Yes, new OS features and bug fixes represent an update. That's some hard spinning and deflecting there to try to come up with something that doesn't even really make much sense let alone be meaningful.
