So far not having too many legibility issues but Safar tabs on a white background on my iPad Pro are pretty bad. Sometimes they’re dark gray but then switch to a very light gray once you start scrolling. Not sure if that’s a bug. If it’s intended to be this way I’m not sure what to say…

I do miss Split View. Not sure why that can’t exist with this new multitasking system.

Looks like the public beta and new dev beta build fixes the white toolbar icons bug in Mail 🥳 IMG_7693.jpeg

If the public beta allows you to file bug reports, do so as soon as possible. Apple may tweak the UI so the Safari tabs are easier to read.

Initial thoughts. Slow. Very very slow. This is on an iPhone 16 Pro.

The initial restart and welcome didn’t work. I had to shutdown and reboot, before I was able to sign on.

Did I say it’s very very slow? CarPlay widgets are awesome though!!! (but it’s slow)

Interface takes a bit of adjustment. Not sure what I think of it….

ETA....it amuses me with those that disagree. I'm not lying! My phone was barely usable as it was so slow! (It has since improved btw)

Your phone does a ton of indexing and backgrounding tasks after first launch. It gets better after a few hours.

Now they’re dark(er) gray all the time. 🤷‍♀️ If it happens agin I will file feedback.

Been waiting for this just installed it on my iPhone 12 Pro Max which is my main phone (I know I'm asking for problems), redesign seams a throwback to the earlier iOS days in some aspects don't mind that, however as noted battery life is Not Good! Still have decent battery health previously I was on iOS 18.6 Beta and had some of the best battery life I ever had out of this phone, however with iOS 26 beta used 10% in 20 minutes just scrolling through menus, reported under the feedback app so hopefully that gets addressed for the final release down the road. Do have occasional lag when swiping through screens but nothing major and very seldom, after reading through this thread seems iOS 26 need to be optimized more for all models of the iPhone as far as battery life goes which is expected in a beta, however everything went smoothly and all apps work as they should so far 👍

Why I am not seeing the Public Beta on my end yet? I was waiting for it.
Same here, selected the iOS 26 Public beta channel, and no update. Have an iPhone 11 with 18.6 public beta on it currently. If I swap to the dev beta channel, an updates shows up, just not on the public beta channel.

Past beta's were a battery nuke for me. Mostly developer beta's in the past. I'm sure I will download the public beta when it's closer to a RC, but for now I am content to wait it out.

Doing it on my iPad and not my iPhone. If apps crash on my iPad, it’s meh, but if it does on my phone, while i am say trying to pay for a bus ride, unlock my car, etc, I am screwed.
Exactly my situation. I installed developer beta one, but it was so unbelievably laggy and buggy that I had to revert. However, I’m using the public data now and it is so much better.
