My Watch had issues and I had it replaced. Of course the operating system is no where hear perfect - I feel the early adopters including myself are beta testers and tend to be more patient with new technologies.
Continue reporting issues to apple - they are reading these posts.

Get that sh*t fixed. 99.9% of them work just fine. Stop the embarrassment.

These are really bad, the epitome of schmaltzy. Apple is really doing itself a disservice by focusing on people lounging around who could easily pull out their iPhone and interact far more comfortably with just about any other device. They really should just focus on people on the go. Using Apple Pay, athletic activity, or a guy on a ladder hammering a nail. Situations where pulling out an iPhone is not the easiest thing to do. These do not give anyone a reason why they should go out and buy the thing.

The ads might be a desperate attempt to counter the negative apple watch gossip, but personally I think they would be better if the app developers got more time to explore before they would make these videos.

Having said that, we are being extremely critical! I'm just saying.. This device is so sexy and the time put into crafting it is in itself impressive. We might be at a point where we get our high from a new product and so expectations build up intensely and they can never fulfill them. Just my two pennies.

Yeah, the ads are aspirational. But they also show a vision for what, how, and where the Watch can be used in life, from a typical work day to a big trip, to once-in-a-lifetime moments. I identified with so many elements of the fitness video.

Very happy at the moment, but I cannot wait for the full capabilities and functionalities of the eventual Watch.

Looks great in theory but in reality it just doesn't work so well.
Not because the Apple watch is not a great product but because if you are abroad you most of the time do not have internet access. Data plans for other countries are really expensive. I spent the last 3 weeks abroad with my Apple watch and it was practically useless outside of the Hotel.

This is why you get yourself a local sim and figure out how to get data. Your iPhone isn't really helpful either if you turn off data roaming and don't get a local sim. I don't recommend getting a plan through ATT or another network, but unlock your phone and get a prepaid local sim. In Eastern Europe I pay roughly $50 every 5-6 months and I have yet to run out of data and talk when beyond a wifi network.
