Pure Comedy: "A bug that caused the new Lightning EarPods designed for the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus to stop working properly has been addressed. EarPods have been timing out after a short period of time when listening to music, rendering the remote unresponsive and unable to control volume, access Siri, and answer phone calls."

That is not the design of the feature. Working correctly, your phone will connect to your car via bluetooth for services like handsfree calling or audio. Once you leave your car and break the connection your phone should record a location and later report that to you once you go look for it. I've had it work off and on but at the moment its not.

It works for me but apparently Apple has some work to do if it does not work for all iPhone/car combinations. It would also be nice if the location would by synced via iCloud. Currently, I cannot see the location on a Mac running Sierra.

Thanks, but like I said, I've already done that and it still shows ready to install in settings.

You probably have two options from here:
a) Install the iOS 10.1 beta and hold on to it until it's officially released to the general public. From then on you will be a regular non-beta user; or
b) Backup the iPhone running 10.0.1 via iTunes without updating it to iOS 10.1 beta, then restore it in iTunes, which will put iOS 10.0.2 on it.
Step a) is simpler, step b) - "cleaner".

Thanks, but it was already answered (I know, easy to miss here...). Had to delete it from local storage and reboot, then it immediately prompted for the regular update. But thank you!

Now what the haters have to say?

Good luck with your Android now!

Same things they always say. Lies.

iOS gets released to hundreds of millions of people and you're bound to find bugs. This is an absolute in the software industry: More people using your software equals more bugs found. Apple patches them (like they do every year) in a timely manner and life goes on.

When Google releases a new version of Android the adoption rates are abysmal. So it appears that new Android releases have fewer bugs when the real issue is there's not enough people using it to actually build up a database of issues. If you actually looked at the number of issues discovered over a period of one year you'd see that Android has just as many as iOS. The difference is the complete cluster**** that is the Android update model which means it's a crapshoot when you get these fixes.

By the time 3 months goes by iOS 10 will have received several updates and fixes. If you're on Android you're lucky if your phone even gets Nougat after 3 months.

Looks like you're the first hater here, but you already knew that.

In other news, my Note5's headphone jack works flawlessly.

No pairing issues, no sound drops, etc.

Frak bluetooth.

I'd rather deal with a wire than with intermittent, random silences.

Why do you default Android users to liars?

And why should Apple get a pass at releasing software with bugs?

Becaues it's Apple?

I'm glad folks here are reporting issues; it benefits everyone, even us Android users who have friends/family with iPhones.

Looks lile you and Zirel should have a hater-party!

Question - I started to download the 10.1 beta and then decided I didn't want to do it any more. I deleted the beta profile and rebooted, but it still downloaded the beta. How can I get that cleared off and get back on the regular, non-beta track?

Jut install the beta. Then go to software update again. It'll show you 10.0.2

iOS 10 is mostly a win, including a bunch of new features I have not seen mentioned (new details making Up Next actually useful, red night-vision filter, better UI for alarms, etc.).

But the one bug I see doesn't seem to be listed in this fix: my Jabra Bluetooth headphones have gotten SUPER flaky. Failure to pair, disconnections, skipping... the usual with Bluetooth, only no longer rare annoyances. Frequent now. (iPhone 6+) Hope it's rare or just my model, because the NEW iPhones are more Bluetooth-centric than ever.

Omg yes. This Bluetooth bug has been there since iOS 10 beta 3. Its the one thing they never fixed that has been driving me crazy... I thought a new phone might help but it persists through my iPhone 7 plus on iOS 10.1 beta

Any fix for the "no coverage" complete reception drop outs I get several times per day? It's possible this needs to come from the carrier, but I'm surprised no one has addressed this other than on Tmobile.
You have verizon? Same is happening to me.

Why did they remove the auto launch of Music/Podcasts when you plug in your headphones - I loved that feature that I now don't have anymore... :(

Thanks! Really pleased with my S7 Edge. Better than any iPhone

I just got the iPhone 7 to replace my S7E. I had terrible battery life and the phone lagged at such weird times. While I think the hardware was probably better, iOS just kills it in the software department and close integration with the hardware. The S7E was my first Android device and I was a bit disappointed. I'm really happy to be back on iOS. And iMessage.

Zirel stated: "What will the haters have to say." Pretty obvious I'm calling the haters liars, and not Android users liars.

I never gave Apple a pass. I simply stated a fact - that all complex software has bugs, and the more people using it the more will be found. It's impossible to write software that's bug free. Therefore it's very important to have an ability to quickly get fixes out to all users to deal with the inevitable bugs that will be found.

Sounds like I struck a nerve by simply stating facts on the differences between iOS and Android. Or do you disagree with what I said?
