Zirel stated: "What will the haters have to say." Pretty obvious I'm calling the haters liars, and not Android users liars.

I never gave Apple a pass. I simply stated a fact - that all complex software has bugs, and the more people using it the more will be found. It's impossible to write software that's bug free. Therefore it's very important to have an ability to quickly get fixes out to all users to deal with the inevitable bugs that will be found.

Sounds like I struck a nerve by simply stating facts on the differences between iOS and Android. Or do you disagree with what I said?

Clearly, it wasn't "pretty obvious" that you (or Zirel) were referring to "the haters" and not Android users (thus generating a response). Both Zirel and you lacked enough context in your post to make the distinction clear, aside from making a distinct connection between "haters" and Android (as opposed to, say, Windows Phone). Thanks for clearing that up.

You also did not simply state a fact: you implied the "haters" are liars. Yet nothing comes out of a vacuum. Had you not resulted to including (implied) insults, the context of your post would have not been lost.

On an anecdotal note (pun intended), security updates are fairly forthcoming for my Note5 on T-Mo.

In addition, my Note5 does everything I want it to do, so I do not need to look forward to updates like iOS users do, given that Apple is generally slower to implement features than Google. iPhone has nothing I need. YMMV.

I'd be curious to see if there are battery life improvements as since upgrading to ios10 my 6s has barely made it to 5pm before needing a charge.

Really? That's interesting, my wife's 6s (which was mine before I got the 7) has far better battery life than it did before iOS 10 hit. The 7 is quite amazing in its own with battery life but the 6s would drain down to about 50 percent from full charge early in the morning and that was with minimal use.

Apple is still signing 9.3.5 so i think that's the answer the battery bug is still there but let's wait for comments....

I almost edited my post to include "I back up regularly" - because some moron would what you just said. I back up every week. I Would only have lost a couple of days of texts and photos.

By everything - I meant everything off of my phone and would have to restore everything.

I have an iPhone backup on my laptop, then my laptop is backed up daily, and weekly all my photos are backed up to the cloud.

You don't need to worry about my back up needs.

Fool you once? It sounds like you've been fooled more than that if an update going bad causes you to lose "everything". Why do you not use iCloud and or local backups? Why do people think these devices are magical and will never lose anything? People don't say backup just for the fun of it, if you value anything you have on your phone and you don't back it up you can't blame anyone except you for that.[/

Anyone else have an issue where when someone calls you the location just shows "United States" now instead of the city, state like iOS 9 used to?

Still didn't fix streaming iTunes movie on cellular data. Right now it's still hit and miss which one will stream.

"Everything" :rolleyes:

I am the moron, sure.

Omg yes. This Bluetooth bug has been there since iOS 10 beta 3. Its the one thing they never fixed that has been driving me crazy... I thought a new phone might help but it persists through my iPhone 7 plus on iOS 10.1 beta

According to some on this list, that is to be expected. 5 or 6 betas with bug reports and duplicate confirmations is not enough for Apple to recognize and fix problems, they need a public release so they get millions of responses. Makes one feel all warm and fuzzy doesn't it.

After being bitten by the iOS 10 brick update and after last years iOS 9.0.1 update that removes phone features from iPhone, I'm hesitant to update to this until I get the all clear from someone.
Wasn't that 2 years ago with iOS 8.0.1?

It's not Apple's database. It might be interesting to take whatever area code called you and look it up in the NANPA database and see where it officially is, if it's anywhere.

I think there might have been something wrong with your phone then, the battery life on the S7 Edge is very very good, much better than any iPhone. Always-on display and fast-charge is great. Most of the hardware complaints people have with the iPhone, even the 7 series, are resolved with the S7 Edge.

Although, I do agree with the integration, mostly that I can't sync bookmarks with the built in Internet browser. I probably could with Chrome, but that doesn't support adblockers, which is a real pain. Outside the US, most people use WhatsApp, so iMessage largely irrelevant. I was a reluctant switcher after being an iPhone user since the original but lack of decent innovation pushed me to the S7 Edge and I don't regret it. Oh, and split-screen apps are great too.

But I don't want to come across as a troll, I just wish Apple had kept up with the competition more.

Right... "Much better", despite, not being "much better" in any real world scientific test... You realize the 6s is actually smaller don't you. The 6s+ has very good battery life, the 7+ fantastic battery life.

Happy to report that this update seems to have fixed my problem where no ringer/vibration would work with keyboard clicks and lock sounds disabled.

Now if only they would fix the abomination of the interface for the music app, which has ditched putting useful buttons on the main page to accommodate ridiculously large and hideous fonts...who doesn't love text scrolling and extra menus for no reason!?

I guess where I studied English is different than you, if you can't understand what I said. I thought it was pretty clear.

Why are you singling out me referring to haters as liars and avoiding the main topic of my post? Everything I stated about software having bugs and updates being important is 100% true. These are the "facts" I'm speaking about. So why are you fixated on your misunderstanding of my comment about haters/liars? Does it bother you that much?

I should hope your Note 5 is getting updates considering it's only one year old. Come back to me same time next year and see if Samsung is still sticking to its 30 day release schedule for security fixes.

Apple is generally slower? Both of them have introduced features first. Should I claim Google is "generally slower" than Apple for all the areas where Android and their OEMs are behind Apple? I do, however, find it interesting you claim Apple is generally slower, which is simply not true.

That was weird. Right after the update was done processing. My iPad Pro 9.8 inch restarted. The apple logo turned red for a split second. Then it installed the update as normal. A bit creepy. o_O

Anyone know why my iPhone 7 says "iOS 10.0 ... Your software is up to date." when I check for the 10.0.2 upgrade? I don't even have 10.0.1? Any way to fix that?

Wasn't that 2 years ago with iOS 8.0.1?

It probably was since I recall it didn't affect me as I didn't have the phone model and I never got the 6.

On a side note, I upgraded my 7 Plus. It took longer than I would have expected it to, but it seems to have survived the update.

Whatever, man. Communication is a two-way street. I guess I did study English differently than you.

I'm also not avoiding nor "fixated" on anything. I pointed out what I felt needed to respond to in your post. Period. It is you who seem fixated on the way I "feel".

As for Android being faster than Apple in bringing features out, I'll take your point. I should have quantified that with more specifics and personal preference (I prefer Sammy's Galaxy series, not all of Android).

So to be very clear, I've been able to do things like multitasking, file system access, customization, waterproofing, etc., with (Samsung and other) Android devices that I still cannot do with iPhone, for years now.

Apple has been too slow
for me to bring features (both hardware and software related) I want to the iPhone, which is why I don't use them.

They took too long with big-screens, and that opened the door for me to want more than the nickle-and-dime features they put out now (like press-and-pop or whatever that I couldn't care less about) or more importantly, the ones they remove (like the headphone jack).

Apple is definitely faster at taking useful stuff out, and making devices thinner. That's it. I honestly cannot think of a feature Apple has put in an iPhone before Android that I care about.

Feel free to remind me.
