Hey guys. If I install the GM will most apps work with iOS 10? I'm thinking snapchat, facebook, tinder.. the usual stuff.
The only app that didn't work for me with the public beta of 10 was the DirectTV app, and that was corrected with an update that was released for that app yesterday.

I seem to remember that iOS 7, 8 and 9 all have different builds between the public release and the GM seed.

Interesting, I killed both my iPhone 6 and Pro yesterday updating to GM. Progress bar was stuck at 1mm for around an hour, and had to restore both from backup. Good luck to everyone.
You used a Windows PC rather than a Mac with XCode8 installed (as per apple's instructions on the dev page?)? Because that's how you get that...

I'm on 9.3.5. If I join the public beta program now and install GM over the air, will my 9.3.5 backup file be available and able to restore all my current settings and stuff over the air? Thanks.

Anyone having trouble with iCloud Photo Library? photos aren't uploading ... 🙁

Check if they are getting to iCloud, by signing into iCloud.com, and then going into Photos there

I had it on the last Beta when new iCloud photos would not download to a Mac
it turned out the Mac had items in the 'Recently Deleted' that were not truly synched to iCloud
deleting them fixed it, and sync's resumed

Yep! It will lose its luster fast....but for now we kick this already dead horse lol.
But does it take courage to make Safari snappier?

Some things never die at MacRumors. I've seen thousands of memes come and go across the internet in general, but these people know how to beat the soil a dead horse dissolved into.

It will but there is no need either. OTA will simply update you and all your stuff will remain intact anyway. So no need to restore your 9.3.5 backup .

This is a nice surprise after watching Apple event yesterday.

Currently downloading this iOS 10 pb gm type update.

Timing is exceptional as I have final payment 27 the Sept and I'll officially own my iPhone 6 64gb gold.

No I phone 7 at this time.

Wireless charging is my temptation techy upgrade wise.

Enjoy my iPhone 6 NFC/Apple music in car via Bluetooth stereo/Sky go tv/ News business/tech/forums

Oh yeah. I've seen that here too. I made my contribution to the shenanigans on this thread and will leave it be....but let's face it: this is one is Schillers doing haha.....he never should have said that publicly! (imo) Fuel for a never ending fire lol.

Don't install on an iPad if you want to keep Swift Playgrounds. Sorry if this is a duplicate post, but I was enjoying being able to play around with it and caught by surprise that it's gone. No way to get it back until Apple releases it "this fall". http://www.apple.com/swift/playgrounds/

It's not in the App Store nor available in developer downloads (it would be a redeemable code, presumably), that I can find.

A little off topic: Regarding speed, should I update my moms old iPhone 5 to iOS 10 when it becomes available? I havent seen any speed tests up on youtube.

Can't wait to try this OS on the 7+. My 6 runs it nicely but occasionally feels rather un-snappy in certain processes.
