Apple Releases iOS 10 Golden Master for Public Beta Testers

Just finished updating.
Can someone tell me how to get rid of Feedback Assistant? It's still there!

Not sure if this GM build be the one pushed out to public on 13th Sept. Simple reason is that you cannot restore this ipsw file using iTunes on Windows. It can only be restored by using macOS and installing Xcode 8 GM seed on it.

This iOS 10 GM seed is clearly still a beta.

Strange. I'm on the public beta, still have the profile installed, software update shows no update available.
Anyone?
Same here.

I'm on 9.3.5. If I join the public beta program now and install GM over the air, will my 9.3.5 backup file be available and able to restore all my current settings and stuff over the air? Thanks.
As long as you do an archived backup, yes.

So, Usually the download option says iOS 10 Public Beta. This time, however, it said iOS 10, and listed the full range of new features. Seems as if it's actually the really real iOS 10.

Am I wrong, here? Anyone else get this?

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE iMESSAGES BACKGROUNDS???

That's because it IS the real iOS 10. Barring a complete screw up, this is EXACTLY the software the public will get next week. Nary a bit or byte will be changed, again barring a catastrophe.

That is what a GM is, basically the version that will be released to the public.

What happened to the ability to change the iMessages background or send in invisible ink?????
Do you perhaps have Reduce Motion enabled in Accessibility Settings (which prevents things like that from working)?

Chanting magic verses helped! (Deleting and reinstalling the beta profile helped too!) Downloads in progress. 2 and 3 hours left for phone and iPad. Probably the biggest day of signups for the beta program ever!

I believe that's in reference to a background animation appearing like when a birthday message is sent or something like that.
Got it. Just tested it on my iPad Air 2 (where the looong download remains in process) with "Congratulations" Confetti everywhere! Will test again after the GM is installed to see if it still works.

I just updated my iPhone 6, the iMessages backgrounds and some other functionality doesn't appear to be working or available. Or, I'm a dumbass and can't seem to figure it out. BTW don't have reduce motion blur on.

Edit: Never mind, I'm an idiot

type in "congratulations" (no quotes) and send. Should have confetti showering all over your screen.

Wireless charging is my temptation techy upgrade wise.

I used to want wireless charging too, but then I thought to myself, how can I use my phone at the same time as its charging? Unless Apple figures out a way to do that.

I think that you will find it has to do with the version of iTunes. You can install it via OS X on El Capitan if you have Xcode 8 or you can install it via Sierra with no Xcode installed. You will be able to do it via windows when the updated iTunes is released, probably tomorrow.

My iPad pro has been sitting at "update requested" for about 2.5 hours now with no progress, I've done two phones and my iMac in that time. I know the severs are jammed but I don't think that is the problem. I've tried resetting and shutting down but that doesn't seem to help.

Any over suggestions/
