My iPad pro has been sitting at "update requested" for about 2.5 hours now with no progress, I've done two phones and my iMac in that time. I know the severs are jammed but I don't think that is the problem. I've tried resetting and shutting down but that doesn't seem to help.

Any over suggestions/

Mine has been doing the same thing. My phone upgraded fine but my iPad Pro just hangs.

Apple today released the golden master version of iOS 10 to public beta testers, nearly two weeks after releasing the seventh iOS 10 public beta and just a day after seeding the iOS 10 golden master to developers. The iOS 10 golden master represents the version of iOS 10 that will be provided to the public on Tuesday, September 13, should no additional bugs be discovered.

Beta testers who have signed up for Apple's beta testing program will receive the iOS 10 golden master update over-the-air after installing the proper certificate on their iOS device.

Those who want to be a part of Apple's beta testing program can sign up to participate through the beta testing website, which gives users access to both iOS and OS X betas. The video below will walk you through the necessary steps for installing the iOS 10 beta to give the new features a try.

iOS 10 includes a huge number of new features and design tweaks, like a reimagined Lock screen experience, a revamped Messages app with background animations, bubble effects, Digital Touch, a full App Store and more, and a Photos app with impressive facial, scene, and object recognition capabilities.

There's a new Home app, apps like Maps and Apple Music have been redesigned, and there are hundreds of smaller tweaks and changes in the operating system, which we cover extensively in our iOS 10 roundup.

Apple will release iOS 10 next Tuesday, two days before the official launch date of the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus.

Ugh they still didn't remove the terrible door locking sound for when the iPhone is shut off. What a terrible sound.

It's GM & 10.0.1

For me, is was the other way around: my phone couldn't get the update. What worked for me was to delete the public beta profile and then reinstall.

type in "congratulations" (no quotes) and send. Should have confetti showering all over your screen.
Ok. Now that I'm on the GM, the"background effects" (balloons, confetti, etc) are in fact not working... on my end. I test by sending messages to myself and the effects DO show up on my Apple Watch.

And you aren't using Reduce Motion?

I wonder what the new iTunes version will run on. Hopefully still all 64 bit versions of OS X.
I'm about to upgrade my Mac Pro 1,1 to Mavericks because that seems more stable than higher versions and I can use my newer video card. They better not throw 10.9 under the bus as they did with iOS 9 for Snow Leopard users running in 64 bit mode.

Dumb question but if I delete the beta profile after I download the GM, will i get future regular updates for iOS 10 that aren't beta?

I think the iPhone 7's that are being manufactured right now are being loaded with the iOS 10 GM Candidate version was released yesterday . I imagine with manufacturing and shipping lead times, apple would need to finalize the OS version for iphones that are set to be delivered next Friday.

Even if there is a newer version of iOS 10 next week on the official release date, the iPhones delivered on release date would have the current build and would need to have the ability to to be updatable to future IOS 10 updates.

My iPhone was stuck at Update Requested for about 5 minutes, then switched to Downloading. Unfortunately, there's no feedback about progress, so I'm letting it sit.

Will another update uninstall the Feedback app? I installed the public beta for the first tome today. I assume
I have the GM Version. Will I need to update again to the public release Gm next week?

Tried that twice, no dice, still endlessly requesting update. Even removing the profile still shows it requesting download.

Not sure if this GM build be the one pushed out to public on 13th Sept. Simple reason is that you cannot restore this ipsw file using iTunes on Windows. It can only be restored by using macOS and installing Xcode 8 GM seed on it.

This iOS 10 GM seed is clearly still a beta.
Thats an iTunes version issue not iOS /Beta issue. This build should be whats released on Tuesday unless some bizzar issue happens.

No the feedback app is installed with the beta profile. If you want it gone you have to remove the profile. The release today was the GM (release candidate in other worlds) and should be the same version (build #) that will become the released version Tuesday so no need to update again Tuesday.
