I've had the iOS 11 Beta on my iPhone 7Plus all along. Really had no issues with it at all. Received the iPhone 8Plus on Friday. The battery life seems really good on it. Had the 11 beta on my iPad Air 2 all along also, and battery life was, and remains fine.

Wow really? Perhaps you should become a beta tester then. I am sure Apple would fix ALL your reported bugs immediately.
He has a point though - I'm sure not more than 10% of beta testers actually report bugs.

Apple didn't encourage it in the past, they used to not read our bug reports and jump straight to conclusions, or simply never answer. At least this summer I got some feed-back from them, things have changed for the better.

Battery life on my 6s+ is possibly even worse after the update, it was pretty good in an earlier version, but went downhill from there. And before some i***t questions it, I reported any bug that seemed worth mentioning. So it seems battery issues for the 6s plus are still there, just like people who think they are better than the other beta testers. Lets hope Apple will get rid of both.

That's quite a claim

Indeed it’s quite a claim that CFederigi is the worst Apple engineer, yet we can look back to TD major OS presentations by previous heads of iOS and MacOSX software releases (even classic macOS releases) and look at the engineering features gone within each comparatively.

My vote is Bertrand Sorley (misspelled last name).

Question is OSX/Apple even involved in sciences any longer??!!

 - was going to wait for the 1st update, now will wait for 2nd or 3rd update before moving from iOS 10.
I plan to wait until 11.1, maybe 11.1.1. I have bad memories of 7.0 (laggy performance).

Right on the update screen on my iPhone 6s it states the following: "IOS 11.0.1 includes bug fixes and improvements for your iPhone or iPad." So from that, I am going to assume the update includes bug fixes and improvements. :)
It would nice to have a link to a page that goes into much more detail than that.

Does this add the Force Touch multitasking back to 6+ and newer phones? I'm eagerly awaiting it to return. Holding out upgrading until then.

Even if people don’t give feedback, the device still sends all the analytics information to Apple. Those logs are pretty detailed and cover lots of bugs that people may not even notice. The power logs alone should have shown Apple that there was a problem.

I appreciate that updates are rolling out fast, older models are still supported and there is no second guessing if or when the Cell Provider will release an update.

Just almost for that fact alone I switched back from Android and probably won’t go back.

Please for the love of all that is same, fix the problem of the Camera constantly turning Live Photos back on. Irritating as all sin.

Not saying anything about the absolutely ENORMOUS BOLD TEXT at the top of many numerous apps with white wasted space.

Maybe, just maybe, un-complicate the ringtone management aspect.

Those 3 things. I’d be a happy camper. I’m allowed to be salty - I never complain!

This bugfix update doesn't have that change. It would only apply to 6s and newer phones thigh (since the 6 line doesn't support 3D Touch).

Delete your beta profile on your devices and it will show up. Otherwise wait for Beta 11.1

Yeah just go to "Settings > General > Profiles" as others have stated then delete any profile that says beta and reboot your phone. Check for updates and viola there's your update.

Hopefully this also fixes the Springboard crashing problem I've been suffering for over a week.

This issue fixed a lot of my problems...BUT, the frame rates are still wonky with stuttering and freezing in apps.

I know it is soon, but I have been having issues with my iPhone saying my car's USB interface is an unsupported accessory (2013 Hyundai Sonata with the base head unit). Anyone else have this issue? Does this update seem to do anything to alleviate this? I can only get my phone to play music via USB maybe 25% of the time and that usually involves me rebooting it and plugging it in again a couple of times. Works fine via bluetooth, but the audio quality is a bit better when plugged in.

I found something interesting yesterday. I

went through my settings and noticed that iCloud Photo Library was magically set to use cellular data for updates. I turned this off as I don’t want it to use cellular data and it didn’t before I upgraded to iOS 11.

After that setting change yesterday, I noticed today that my photo library was trying to upload pictures again to iCloud while I was on cellular, even with the setting changed.

After I paused it, I noticed that battery life the rest of the day was significantly better.

I wonder if a bug is present that’s forcing photo library updates and syncing over cellular even without it being turned on.

Strange. Neither my current ‘new’ iPad nor my iPhone 6 Plus are seeing the update as available yet. And neither of them is in the beta or has the beta profile installed.
