After upgrading my 6s to 11.3 and getting a battery capacity reading of 83% after 2 years and 3 months of use, I just upgraded my X to 11.3 and it’s still at 100% capacity after almost 3 months of use.

Battery tool is not available on either of my iPad Mini latest gen or iPod Touch latest gen. Are these devices not throttled at all or do they just not care to expose this feature for some reason on these devices? I do remember ever since that version came out with the limitation my iPod Touch seems to jitter frames and slow down sometimes.

Seems good to me as well. I just didn't know if the 1% drop was normal. I guess we wouldn't know since mine is launch day unless a lot of others report 100%.

Cool. Wondering if we can get some more people with an iPhone X to report their %.
I have a launch day iPhone X. 100% Only charged at night, always on a Apple charger and with a Apple cable.

Okay, not to jinx it, but God’s did the new iPhone X and Apple TV update fix my airplay problems, and I had them ever since updating to iOS 11 on the 6 and the X.

For some weird reason it always used to give me error, and X would heat up like crazy, and it would take ‘bout 5-6 tries to finally work. Hated it so much that I even wrote an angry rant at apple feedback page months back.

But I’m just so glad it’s fixed! :D

Is the call delay been fixed that is the phone rights but there is no option to answer it for a 10 seconds or so?

I'd really love to know what you've used to charge it, cable and charger. Also if you could please comment on your charging routine that would be great.

I use the standard lightning cable and brick that comes with the iPhone during the day at work. At night when I go to bed, I use one of these external battery chargers:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N0I1W2T/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_eNyVAbNK57RPV

My charging routine changed drastically when I got the iPhone X. I used it constantly charge my previous iPhones when they went below 40-50% because I was paranoid about the battery drain I guess. Now, I’ll give it a little boost if it gets below 70% when I’m at work because some days I’ll be using it more. On top of that, I’ll plug it into my car’s USB port every time I leave work until I get home to get another little boost. After I get home from work, I let it drain down to 15-20% at the end of the night; this usually happens between 9:30 PM to 10:30 PM depending on whether or not I’m heavily using it. Finally, I’ll use one of my battery chargers that I mentioned above to charge it overnight.

Overall, i’m actually quite surprised it is at 100% but definitely pleased!

Just updated to final build from beta 6. I had iMessage in the Cloud enabled and after the reboot, my messages are still there. Just no option in iCloud settings for messages. Since my Mac is on the latest beta build, it still is in the cloud there. Not sure how that will work for now.

Do your messages still show as in the cloud? Where do you see them at? I am in the same situation and have some messages I do not want to lose. Wondering if I need to turn them off and choose the option to download them first.

The feature is for iPhones only.

I bet Juli Clover is some kind of typing ninja.

You do know that they typically have these all ready written and ready to go before release. All that is needed is to check the final for any changes and edit it.

Updated now and so far so good, actually seems much faster, then again the battery performance setting has now changed and the phone is running on ‘peak performance’, and I know before it was throttled by iOS 11..
So yeah, my battery is fine and my phone is performing as it’s supposed to. Shame it’s taken several months and one huge outcry and a huge scandle at Apple to get there...
Download it and give it a go.
Done. So far so good and it definitely feels faster and more stable. Checked on Geekbench too and full performance has been restored (previously 1423/2299, now 2484/4406) with battery health reported at 94%. I knew the line about throttling only applying to devices with seriously degraded batteries was BS and they were throttling my 6s too despite my battery only being about a year old.

No, they are stored locally it seems. The option for the cloud isn’t even in settings anymore. I delete my texts weekly, so not sure how your situation works.

Same. 99% for me. Still seems like phenomenal battery life...if anything, better than launch day. I am coming from the horrible batteries of Android though.

*Beware*

This update broke me playing music in my car from my phone via a lightning usb cable connected to my car's audio system. Confirmed it was the update by checking with multiple other iOS devices, those that weren't updated still worked fine, others that were updated also couldn't connect anymore to my car's audio system. It's one of the highlights of my day to jam to music as I drive so this is a really big bummer for me right now.

So if you still have iTunes 12.6.3 you can still manually update your iPhone via a manual install of the 11.3 ispw. You can find the 11.3 ispw at https://www.unlockboot.com/download-ios-11-3-ipsw/ and then follow the manual install instructions at http://osxdaily.com/2017/09/24/install-ios-11-with-ipsw-firmware/. If you don't want to install via iTunes you can do an OTA install and still sync via 12.6.3. The initial message from Apple to upgrade iTunes seems to be Apple trying to get those of us who still need App store support in iTunes to upgrade.

Those on the "business" iTunes 12.6.3 with the still available app tab and app store panels:

https://www.macrumors.com/2017/10/09/apple-itunes-with-app-store-included/

looks like we're being forced to upgrade to 12.7.3. I'm assuming removing all those features.

So I guess we're all left in the cold right?
