Strange... What device? Nothing via DFU? Was the device previously repaired?

I did have the battery replaced but they gave me a new device. Way back in January though - would that make a difference? I was thinking it's because I had the USB cable plugged into the monitor USB hub. Then I tried to plug it into the dongle in my MBP.. same result. So now I'm copying the backup file to my mac mini and I'll try to restore from there. Otherwise I have no clue what else I can do.

You guys with iPad Air 2 and newer are going to love this update. Been running it all summer on my 10.5" Pro and can't imagine going back. Sure, there are many things left to improve, but this is a big step in the right direction and I haven't been this excited about the direction of the iPad since I bought the original in April 2010. Now if only Affinity Designer would launch!

Does 11 still work with/through iTunes 12.6? I'm not happy with 12.7 and the loss of app control. I'll try 11 on one (of two) iPads if it does. Thanks!

If you were on the latest public beta, do you get a prompt to update to os11 today? I have a 7+ and in canada. Im having a lot of glitches with ios11 and was hoping the update would smooth things out.

App store is really nice. At first I couldn't find a way to download my existing purchased apps. But then I found it and you will too. You just need to play around with it for a bit and then you will stubble across it.

My iPhone 6 16g AT&T work phone shows the update being available, but my iPhone 6s Plus 64g AT&T personal cell shows that my software is up to date with iOS 10.3.3. Any ideas? Both phones are plugged in and fully charged...

So would you recommend for Ipad mini 2?

Just updated and so far so good, except.............they took away force touch on the edge of the screen to access app switcher. DAMN IT!!!!!!! I really loved that. Not having to double tap home button was so much easier AND it took a lot of wear and tear off the home button. Something that was being used for touch i.d.
With further research, I see they did this on purpose AND they have no plans on bringing it back. Really disappointed in losing that feature.

Yeah, really sad, I loved it too. They took it away on the first few betas if I'm not mistaken. Not a deal breaker tho.

Not noticing any stuttering here. What phone are you using?

Definitely not noticing any lags or bugs/problems in general, maybe it's an issue with older devices.

this will annoy a LOT ... but I'm going to say it .... cause I'd LOVE to have it ...

Psst .... (whispering) ... Dark Mode?

Unfortunately this appears to be just a rumor... It was talked about a long time ago but nothing so far. It would have been the biggest feature of the update for me if it existed, lol.

It would, if it wasn't an original part, depending on the part... Which doesn't seem to be the case. Try DFU and good luck.

If you decide to do a fresh install of iOS 11 and restore to the backup, what about the new version of iTunes? Will your apps be restored as well or do you have to manually restore them yourself by downloading them?

iOS 11's Podcast app has motivated me to switch to a third-party competitor.

See, Apple cares about developers! :p

I totally agree. I completely HATE Apples iOS11 podcast app. It’s horrible. It feels like I’m having to “work” harder to get the info I wanted.

So I got it on my iPhone 7. Under settings>Update Apple ID Settings it is stuck on "waiting for approval" Nothing pops up on my iPad or Macbook.

Logged into icloud via the website nothing.

I fixed this. Did the update on my iPad Air 2 thinking it would help. Same problem. To fix it I hit "cancel" and then it asked me to remove protected data (since I could not approve it) and it was Keychain data. Once removed on my iPad then I got a popup to approve my iPhone.

Basically some junk in the cloud not synced? I don't sync my keychain so it does not matter to me.

Maybe because this conflicts with the new X swipe up for app switching?

But blimey, the control center is insanely ugly - wish there was the option to revert it to how it looked on iOS 10
