RE: "- Fixes an issue where the sharpest reference frame was not always selected in front-facing photos for iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR "

Is this the "BeautyGate" issue OR something else ???

Anybody ???

If BeautyGate, it's interesting how they worded it ! (& total BS).

contacted ATT. they said DSDS is causing a visual voicemail issue and they don't expect to support the second line until mid NOV.

You aren’t going to because Verizon is a bunch of liars who can’t be straight with customers.

Where exactly do you think Verizon "lied" to its customers.. Verizon never said anything directly related to dual sim...
ive watched you in some other threads and your bitterness towards Verizon is absolutely silly and im having a hard time keeping quiet... ... setting hard dates on a feature or you'll switch carriers.. Run off to AT&T and enjoy the worse service and customer service you'll get.. you'll come crawling back to Verizon with you head hanging low eventually.

I filed a bug report and Apple closed the bug, yet this bug still hasn't been fixed

Where is the dragonfly emoji?

Finally the biggest enemy to mankind gets an emoji - the mosquito.:)

It was so much easier to flip the camera while using FaceTime on iOS 11. I'm hoping that 12.1 removes the stupid extra step that was added in iOS 12.

Verizon XS - iOS 12.1 (from iOS 12.0.1)

Modem Firmware: 1.01.30
Carrier: 34.0.1

I believe this is the same as the last Beta 5.

Yes. And it's not total BS, if you have read up on the subject. A frame with longer exposure (more motion blur) was the used as the base of the image, making details look more smoothed.

- Adds a performance management feature to prevent the device from unexpectedly shutting down, including the option to disable this feature if an unexpected shutdown occurs, for iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus

I thought it was already there just not activated because these devices have relatively new batteries. Well, at least this time apple is "marketing it clearly" to avoid being sued.

Does anyone know how to get the eSim QR code from carriers? Verizon?
Not sure. I wonder why they didn’t do what they did with the iPads and just let each carrier offer plans through a menu on screen. Why do we need a QR code? Does that mean when I travel overseas I still need to find a store for a qualifying carrier?

Some info you might find helpful:

I was on iOS12.1 beta (xs max) and was prompted to update to iOS12 instead of iOS12.1, downloaded anyway, installed. After installing iPhone is in fact in iOS12.1, not iOS12, so bug?

Getting on average one more signal bar on my home, not sure if thats Apple showing us more bars or an actual improvement.

Selfies look sharper.

Group Facetime works but still has same annoying interface with extra steps to switch cameras

Build: 12.1(16B92)

Looks like Verizon, AT&T or T-Mo aren’t ready for eSIM

No upgrade on carrier settings, Carrier Verizon 34.0.1
What are you comparing that (34.0.1) to when you say "no upgrade"? Was that the carrier for beta 12.1?

The Verizon carrier on my XS Max w/ 12.0.1 is "33.1" and is apparently up to date for the 12.0.1 release. Once I install 12.1 I would expect a carrier update (presumably to 34.0.1 as you state).

I really do not understand why the depth control is only available to the iPhones with A12 chip. Why not on iPhone X? It certainly cannot be the computing power as the A12 is not much faster than A11.

Funny, and yet you turn around an trash AT&T. Two wrongs don't make a right. I think there are plenty of improvements all carriers can make. :)

On my iPhone XS and iPad Pro 10.5 I cannot get any videos within the photos app to play at all (I don’t use photo library, just leave them in there).
Also, and more important... any videos recording with the default camera app aren’t showing in the photos app!
Anyone else getting this?

Agreed. Most changes that make something worse at least have a reason, you can see they’ve had to compromise because of this that or the other. This change makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. They need to change it back!

On my iPhone XR, I can play videos in the photos app. My recorded videos with the default camera app ends up in the photos app.

I cannot see this update? (I currently have the latest 12.1 public beta. Have deleted my beta profile)

Does this mean official 12.1 is same as the last public beta ?
