Finally! Started my download a couple minutes ago. Glad I don’t have to go to work for a few hours and I get to play with iOS 13

The very idea of a separate version of the OS is already fragmentation.

But iOS, Apple Watch and Apple TV, Homepod (and often MacOS) slways came out at once, sharing the same new features. Now iOS todat, iPadOS on the 30th, MacOS in October. Not huge gaps, but still, they are getting away from same day stuff.

So it should be pretty much a hard pass for this version, right? OTOT, apparently 13.1 isn't any better.

Unless you absolutely love that endless verifying update process and progress bar snailing away on your device I think I’ll wait a week for 13.1. Not need to go through that nonsense twice. Also a number of new iPhone reviews noted how buggy iOS 13 seemed when reviewing the device so all in all I rather use software that’s a little more baked in and it will be available in no time.

You're better off waiting the 11 days for iOS 13.1 to come out. Unless you like running beta quality software. Personally I'm waiting since I want all my devices to be running the same release version and iPadOS and TVOS aren't updating till September 30th.

Not to mention there's lock screen bypass bug in iOS 13.0

Shows 7 hours remaining. Seriously Apple, you need to rent more server space on upgrade days...especially before an iPhone launch.

Need iOS 13 to transfer files to new phone tomorrow.

Going to wait until iOS 13.1 and Catalina come out, and I'll do a clean install.

Hopefully, this'll fix the issue I have where voicemail comes as an audio attachment in a text rather than showing in the Phone app's voicemail tab.

Seriously, you need to just give it a minute and let it do its thing. I have three iPhones that have been updating for a few minutes and actually said "1 day remaining" when they started, and now they say "6 minutes remaining".

I'll wait until tomorrow to update. It's tradition;)

Safe bet. That’s traditionally what I do, Apple servers will be slammed from this point forward. Plus, if there’s any ‘bricking’, I don’t want to be the first to experience it. 😁

It's been almost 15 minutes and now it's down to 4 hours.
