People still send MMS? I haven’t used that since Nokia was a thing and even then only sent them by mistake, costing you 49 cent a piece from your 5 euro prepaid card lol. Not sure if those are even still working here.
It's basically behind how group messaging and messaging with media (photos, videos, etc.) works outside of iMessage and basically agnostic of which particular device someone has.

Cause some of us have friends that have Android devices and seriously want to send an image attached.

Then again, if I sever all my Android friends, I won't need this update! I'm friending wrong!

just checked and it must an American thing. MMS never took off here. The carriers have actually planned to deactivate it this August. Everyone is using WhatsApp here

Neat! I'd be curious to see if this fixes the yellow tint problem, but I'm not holding my breath.
Go to
Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size > Color Filters
Switch the "Color Filters" on, select "Color Tint", put the intensity all the way up, move the Hue so that it's as dark blue as it gets, then move the intensity all the way down again.

Doesn't seem to blow out any colors or use battery life. I honestly forgot about it until I saw the lady friend's 12 mini again and the yellow tint jumped right out.

Our "suffering" will probably only last until 14.3 comes in the next few weeks. It's not a lifetime...
It definitely is when you miss lots of important messages throughout the day.:( Hopefully they add the fix to the next 14.3 beta. In the meantime, I've found that exiting to the main messaging screen before switching to another app seems to help a bit; not completely reliable but makes it a bit less annoying.

Is this for iMessage or just sms?

Pretty sure it's more of a standard thing when it comes to basic SMS/EMS/MMS protocols, with MMS being used for group messaging in addition to messages with media.
