How about reset the phone and set up as new. Does it work then? If so, it’s something in your backup.

I NEED HELP!!!!

I updated my iPhone 13 to iOS 15.0.1 today. Before this update Cell service was working fine. After this update I have no data. I have toggled airplane mode, reset network settings, and even went so far as to reset the entire phone and set up from an iCloud backup.

I am on the support iMessage with apple support now and they are clueless…. My rep went so far as to argue with me over iOS 15.0 being the latest official version, I had to send her the support article detailing iOS 15.0.1 being the newest.

They have no idea, what’s going on. They told me to contact my carrier about the data, I have a call back scheduled (two hour wait).

Anyone have any ideas? Am I the only one?
Happened to my wife when she was on iOS 14. Had to factory reset the phone and magically it started connecting to cell towers again.

i thought her SIM or hardware died (wifi and bluetooth worked fine) but a complete reset fixed it. I took it to the Apple store and it passed every diagnostic, so something is faulty with the software.

Thanks, i have restored one time so far, then set up from an iCloud backup. I may set up as new here next

I just tried updating my new iPad Mini 6 and it’s been stuck on the apple screen for over two hours. I tried a hard reset (volume buttons and then hold down lower) and it still gets stuck on the apple screen on reboot. Grrrrr.
Same here...with no solution as yet. Have reset net connections etc. (as per Apple phone help)...no success yet. Very frustrating as this is obviously something they have done.

No..phone updated ok....iPadPro has been 'verifying / installing' on and off for about 5 hours!

After 15.0.1 restart, still no luck and also broke widgets of weather and stock.

Resetting network setting fixed both, weird.

Now move on to other bugs, apple!!

I only use encrypted local backups. When you say it was a disaster, are you saying the backup can’t be trusted?
It just didn't restore properly. Had photos and video that refused to download from iCloud/showed errors. Things just didn't work quite right. Restoring from iCloud fixed all the issues though.

Why doesn't my Settings app show the badge notification telling me there's an iOS update available until after I go manually check if there's one available by going to Settings > General > Software Update?

Is there a way to make this badge (see below) show up automatically when the iOS update becomes available?

Maybe not the very second it happens, but this update has been available for over twelve hours, and the only reason I found out was because I decided to visit macrumors.com.

If nothing else is available, I guess the closest I'll come to being notified that an iOS update is available will have to be to ask Twitter to notify me every time MacRumors tweets something.

iP13 came with 1 version lower than the official iOS 15 final build.
Yep. If it hasn't been posted already, I picked up an iPhone 13 mini for work that I had pre-ordered on the 1st day from an Apple Store.

It came with iOS 15 build 19A341. That's even earlier than the 15.0 RC that was made available to developers (within a few hours of the iPhone 13 event) which was 19A344.

The 15.0 that went out to the public (everyone not on the beta) was 19A346. IIRC, that went out on 9/20. For work, there was actually a bug I found on earlier betas and a teammate reported to Apple for me (not related to phones) that was still repro in 19A344 but surprisingly fixed in 19A346.
