I’m going to wait, til the first dot release or maybe 15.1 …
Don’t.

I’ve been running on a 6S since most way thru public beta and its been solid.

I’m eagerly waiting on conversation boost. it’s AWOL but in meantime I’ve been enjoying iOS 15.

Started end of June finished end August repopating my 350 online profiles with hide my email generated iCloud addresses. Also replaced my older 15 character iCloud passwords with the newer 20 character standard. Definite direct and indirect b befits there.

Also enjoying benefits of iCloud private relay for 1$/mo (which I have to pay anyway because I have more than 5GB of data stored in iCloud; so iCPR is essentially free.)

It was downloading fairly fast
I'm at about 90% on "Preparing Update " on iPad Pro. The little progress bar is stuck...painfully slow? No idea.

Just trying to update the iPad Pro, it was not on 14.8, so it looks like it will have to go to 14.8 first and then it will allow 15.

Live text is pretty cool actually, although could've easily been introduced 2 years ago...Allowed nots too, appreciated but seems behind for 2021

Took a few minutes to appear this year. Just over 3GB, 3,11 I think, currently on "preparing update"...

Well, it's quite easy to overlook since it literally says "up to date" and the update is only shown at the bottom.
Maybe they are unsure of it and only want "Techie" people to download it who know what to do when everything goes haywire? /s

I wish Apple would let power users have the option of bypassing the mandatory backup before installing. A lot of times the backup done a couple of hours ago is plenty good for me as I didn't make any changes that didn't sync to iCloud. It would speed up the process by not having to do the "preparing update" step.

How about discussing how to remain on iOS 14 when iOS 14.x updates come out and exclude iOS 15 updates?
You have to scroll down to select the option to upgrade to iOS 15. If you don't do that you will stay on iOS 14 and still get security updates for iOS 14 in the future.
