Apple Releases iOS 16.1 With Support for iCloud Shared Photo Library, Matter, Live Activities and More

Is it possible to have the battery icon as a static full icon with the percentage instead of having the icon emptying itself as the power is used?
 
I am so happy with this update. I’ve had some issues with my airpods 2 pro that was causing screen freezes every time I put in the earplugs and then got the iPhone out of my pocket. Just 20 minutes before iOS 16.1 I talked to a senior adviser at Apple that recommended me plugging the phone into a computer and then doing a factory reset and doing a complete reset, a clean install to see if that would help. So happy I waited and hope this update would alleviate the problem which it did!! :D

Ok, installed on my iPhone 12. Battery percent icon looks different, no controls visible in Books, what else is actually new?

I had this same issue after I went from testflight build back to stable build. You need to stop beta test via testflight and then uninstall the app, to uninstall the beta version and then redownload the stable build.

Sometimes app store messes things up and fails to update the app properly when switching from beta to stable build.
 
Just updated my wife's iPhone X . Updating my iMac with Ventura. And will update my iPhone 14 pro max now. The update on the iPhone X went fast..

Not running beta. Haven’t used beta in years. Thanks, though! 😊

Is it just me or does the AOD actually get a bit darker? I think you can actually see when it gradually gets a bit darker.
 
on my iPhone 12 mini Apple Music Dolby Atmos don't work propper on AirPods max, volume suddenly drops and raises🤬
 
I was hoping I could use the iCloud Photos shared album feature without having iCloud Photos turned on for everything.

Unfortunately that doesn't seem to be the case.
 
guys...you forgot what matters the most: HOW'S THE BATTERY LIFE???????

iOS 16.1 broke Safari handoff and Continuity features between my iPhone 11 and M1 Macbook Air on MacOs 12.6.

Edit: False alarm, VPN on my computer was the cause of the issue.
