i’m noticing a lot of you have updated - mine is very delayed! Currently jumping from 49 min to 2 hours to 8 to who knows what else. Anyway to speed this? Or am i just stuck because its an hour or two after launch>

A lot of people are complaining of that issue. I beleive it is a server side issue so my guess is the issue will be fixed in a couple of hours once Apple realizes it is broken.

Just installed, now I can’t buy new apps and update from App Store. iPhone 13 mini. Says I have to agree to new Apple Media agreement. But when I try I get “there was an error please try again later”
Same Iphone SE3 15.7....

Update went smooth on my 11, and only issue I see is the error when accepting the Terms in the App Store. That I'm not worried about at all. Dont see any issue with the main apps that I use either.

it keeps changing and then mine updated to 10 secs left from 11 minutes left all of a sudden. In short, those estimates are just a shot in the dark and not accurate in anyway.

I am pretty sure. But what causes most people not to have a backup, is that they run out of the free space. Then they won't/can't pay the 1USD/month to have enough storage. That's my dad until recently I told him how cheap it was.

Oh that’s a shame. I get it with AppleOne I was already using Apple Music so I figured why not, plus I got the family plan so I can sure it with my mom and dad who have tons and tons of family photos, been working out great.

My update to iOS 16 went smooth. iPhone 13 Pro from 15.6.1 (skipped 15.7). Still the App Store error for almost 1 hour.

Successfully updated after forcing a backup (even with a nightly automatic backup!)

Yea but there are months of beta testing prior to that. And they did not build iOS 16 from scratch

And yet here we are, with a bunch of people with significant installation issues.

The fact is that despite all of the QA and beta testing these issues can and do happen. It’s happened before and it will happen again.

I’m a lightweight when it comes to this stuff and had little trouble ordering an iPhone 14 pro on pre launch day as well as updating my current phone to iOS 16.

It's possible you do have an iCloud backup then. You'll want to do a restore from iCloud once you get your phone working again.

Still no way to customize the two buttons at the bottom of the Lock Screen. I don't think we need 69 different ways to access camera.

Another thing high on my wishlist: Option to disable jiggle mode. It gets triggered way too easily.

I agree on "jiggle mode" (Edit Home Screen). I see it waaaaaaaay too often.

As long has iCloud was enabled, everything should be fine.

View and manage iCloud device backups

Delete an iPhone or iPad backup to free up iCloud storage space.

This should show you the last backup date as well, if applicable
