Turned on VPN to USA and the update time went from 4 hrs left to fully downloaded in 10 mins
Yeah, now we need to be developers to use an iPhone, that’s exactly what I meant 😀😀I'm a software developer myself and it took me just an extra second to figure it out. As soon as I noticed that tapping on the white space acts like a long press my next thought was to tap on the icon itself. And it worked!
I’ll wait to iOS 17.0.1 to be sure it works fine

Some people are intuitive to some things. I like messing around so I got lucky with this one. Still think you have to be a genius to get around macOS System Settings though.Yeah, now we need to be developers to use an iPhone, that’s exactly what I meant 😀😀
If that's a result of the OS update, don't worry. It will cool down soon enough. Phones do a lot of background work for a while after an update that generates heat.Anybody having a thermal issue on iPhone X? Mine gets really hot.
so it’s different than this in previous versions? I still haven’t updated yet…No, it used to be that when you tap the tile it turned the device off or on. Long press was taking you into the dimmer and other settings. (Logical)
Now you have to use the Apple Pencil to precisely tap on the small icon.
In iOS 17 they will design icons with the switch and you’ll have to use a magnifier lens to find the switch and tap exactly that spot.
Ah the innovation.
Except for no split screen ooofA new iOS era has officially started.
The list of improvements and updates is hugely impressive. We're lightyears ahead of Android at this point, and I share Gruber's take that Google is losing interest in this stuff.
I’d rather wait for iOS 15.7.1 theYou're that guy downloading iOS 15.7 right now right?
I can't wait to see all the red back sides tonightPhew turned off Software Update on all my devices... fool me once shame on you, fool me twice...

They always miss stuff. You know there's been dev and public testing right?
I'mThis got to be the worst day of my life!!!
The update has ruined my iPhone!! After installing, my iPhone got stuck in logo mode, and I tried to re-update through my Mac, and it still doesn't work. It says I need to factory reset, meaning I'll loose everything!!! I can't believe this is coming from Apple!!!! 2 years of pictures lost. I'm freaking heartbroken about this. **** ios16
Or hell, 20.4 is out. Just to be on the safe side!I advise you to hold until 18.1 is out
