Battery Health after updating....

iPhone Pro Max 14. Not a heavy user and don't have the always-on lock screen enabled. In the previous iOS 16 update in August, my battery health dropped from 100% to 98%, I have now just installed iOS 17, and it has now dropped to 96%. Really crazy as I update my iPhone every year and have always sold previous ones still with 100% battery health.

Any idea why the "Siri" change didn't roll out to Switzerland yet, and why it is extending?
I think it's a language issue, and maybe they feel that Siri's language perception is good enough for US (and Canadian) English?

As a sidenote: There are actually well over 8000 women in Norway who has Siri as their first (or only) given name, and they might have an issue with removing the "Hey" from "Hey, Siri"? :)

I believe the phone does a battery health recalibration after a major OS upgrade. I imagine the phone needs to go through the charging process a number of times to get a good picture of how the battery is behaving.

I'm an upgrade ho - would have upgraded it at 1:15pm yesterday, had I been at my typical wifi-enabled work location!

So I upgraded upon returning home at 3:30pm, and my 11 Pro Max has been cruising along just fine on iOS 17.

I would have delayed upgrading if I knew I'd have a new 15 Pro Max this weekend, to make the new phone feel extra extra fresh , but at this point I do not know exactly when I'll be able to retire my much-beloved 11PM.

I still have new features ahead with iOS 17 on my fresh phone, since my 11PM does not get all iOS 17 features - so, I'm good.

Beyond pissed. I upgraded mom’s 11 pro max overnight just to see it got bricked and had restore mode screen on. I spent like 6hours with iTunes just to see all the data has been erased. Lost like 7k photos. Sad. Had no clue this would happen with over the phone update. Mine 13 pro max went fine just a hour earlier.

Lost 7K photos? Was your Mom's phone not set to backup to iCloud? Nothing should be lost if you were using iCloud backup (or even backup to iTunes on computer).

So you allow a mobile device to be authoritative for data you care about. Why? I presume it would have also been Apple's fault if the phone had been left in a cab?

Having a tough time finding the MacOS requirements and iTunes software for iOS 17.0
iOS 16 worked with El Capitan and iTunes and higher.
Don't want to update and find out it doesn't work with MacOS High Sierra, would be difficult to downgrade to iOS 16.6.1

Might be able to get 1000 photos back with photo stream, oh wait Apple killed that. Never mind. o_O

so everyone is updating and not restoring and doing a clean install (no backup restore)? I always do that for a major release. I still believe doing that takes out a lot of trouble.

PS: I didn't update to iOS17 yet but considering it to do it in the coming days

I know this is slightly off topic but I didn’t see an iPad OS 17 thread so I’m asking here:

Anyone else having issues changing their Lock Screen on iPad? Once I select “Customize“ and get to the “Customize Wallpaper” screen, I can’t press on the Lockscreen or Homescreen. Both areas are just totally unresponsive. The only thing I can press on are the black areas and that will take me back to the previous screen/menu.

Hmm it works alright for me
