iOS 17 upgrade isn't really an upgrade. It's more like a mid year patch.
I’ve just got it and comepletly agree. I‘m staring at it feeling like nothing has changed. I was thinking id have something to play with.iOS 17 upgrade isn't really an upgrade. It's more like a mid year patch.
No sir.anyone else update failed, and went to recovery mode? and then cant update in recovery mode either forcing a restore?
Yikes. Hope that doesn’t happen to me. I’m upgrading at work on cell signal, not wifi, right now. Why I’m upgrading on day one, I have no idea.anyone else update failed, and went to recovery mode? and then cant update in recovery mode either forcing a restore?
It works with a regular Qi charger also as long as the phone is sideways. Here to know as well. Also, will StandBy works with ANY magsafe chargers?

Yes, especially on the 14pro if it's using the active display (looks like it is but can't tell for sure)I wish you didn't have to have it on a charger in order for Standby to work. My battery is solid so when im at my desk working, I would like to have it sideways for the clock without having to charge.
This happens almost every year. If you want to update through a computer it usually takes a day or two to show up.I still can't see iOS 17 through Finder in Mac OS. Is anyone else having this issue?
Just updated - beyond the contact card which is useless as I’m first through the iOS 17 gates amongst my contacts, nothing has changed. Poor update.
Apple never claims all new features will be available immediately, just that they will be a part of the OS. Even if they released those features in the last point release of the OS, it would still be fine. From what I have read like 50% of all new features are still missing in the final release. By the time its all available we'll be heading towards iOS18 and iPhone 16. Whats the deal?
Why should you ask others when you can see for yourself how it behaves?Asking for a friend...
Get 17 now or wait for 17.1 later, after reading how iOS 17 acts/behaves on the iPhone 13 & 14 models by reviewers?
SEVENTEEN major iterations of the OS now. Would it kill them just to allow the option to put a fu@king number row above the QWERTY row on the keyboard???? Without some hack or app add-on? Geez!
Has it worked for you. I had to leave for work and couldn’t kept on trying so I could have a semi-working phone I had to update it from the iPhone itself which I honestly didn’t wanted to do.same here, keep click on "check for updates" and nothing...
Actually, it says US and Canadian English. It's tied to the phone language, not the location.Haven’t been able to test it yet, but on the Apple Canada website it says it will be available in Canada and the United States.
it just finished downloaded via finder, but i had an error aboutI still can't see iOS 17 through Finder in Mac OS. Is anyone else having this issue?
At some point appeared, 7.77 gb...downloaded, but it showed me an error about not enough space on my mac and install failed. Now checking again and nothing...Has it worked for you. I wanted to erase to factory settings from iTunes but it didn’t found a new update until 1:35 pm.
I kept on trying “check for update”
“Restore to factory settings”
Quiting iTunes
I even restarted my Mac but nothing
Same. Not working.Huh, my reminders when set to grocery list don’t seem to be sortingthat’s disappointing. Hopefully this will clear up soon or I’m using it wrong
Most of the time the RC is exactly the same. It’s why there is no reason to migrate from RC to public release except to end beta testing participation.
