Zollotech has an hour and 16 minute video on this update. There are some other reviewers who are longer than that. Who knew IOS 17 was this massive. Is this more massive than IOS 16?

Omg!!! I’m so in love with the cleaned up messages task bar! I thought I would hate it! Also love the bedtime widget! Still annoyed auto brightness is like 3 taps deep in settings though 😑👎🏻
iPadOS 17 is downloading faster over 5G (25 minutes) than Wi-Fi (11 hours), for me.
Installed and I don't see the pets album. Like 85% of the users out there, that's the only reason I wanted iOS 17.

It doesn't seem to behave that way on my iPhone 12 Pro. I have yet to try it with MagSafe.
Ok. Song Credits, while a step in the right direction, could us more information. In most of the cases that I've quickly checked, it's possible to find out details like who played what instrument on a given track. But still, I'd like more detail about producer, studio, liner notes, etc. Better than it was? For sure. Ways to evolve? 100%.

Like the 'People' portion of the album, I believe it needs to be charging and locked for it to search and find faces/pets. Give it some time. I was running the RC and took some pictures of the neighborhood cat, had to wait for the above for it to identify 'Busy'. Then, the album changed from "People" to "People & Pets".

1. Swipe up to unlock is right next to the cancel call button - bad bad bad. Just hosed a call unlocking it.
2. Contact photo shows blurred when locked. Doesn't display when unlocked.
3. Unlocking in the middle of the call returns to the default lock screen so I have to swipe up again.
Not sure how they got this past testing. Clearly they went round it.

Battery life on first install was ATROCIOUS. iPhone 13 Pro here. Give it 2-3 charge cycles. It's like the OS cleans things up and rebuilds and eats a bunch of databases in the background - pretty standard with every full version upgrade. Notably, my "Phone" app ate 25% of one charge cycle. After about 2-3 days (RC) it's running about the same as 16.x was.
My iPad is 'up to date' but 17 shows up as "ALSO AVAILABLE" OTA, however plugged into my MacBook Finder shows 16.6.1 as the "current version". I think this garden has an aphid problem.
Shouldn’t we be getting Safari 17 for macOS today as well? Doesn’t seem to show up in Software Update.
iPad lock screen widgets feel terrible. Feels like they had to add them but didn't really know what to do and got half way through it and thought "hey that'll do". C'mon guys that's Google's approach.
Nope, not today. I believe it will be released at the same time as macOS Sonoma is released, and macOS Sonama isn't released yet.

I just finished downloading iOS 17 on my iPhone 13 Pro Max. My first reaction is that it is S....L...O...W...!!!
Every app takes literally 3-7 seconds to open and load. Additionally my phone is running way hotter than normal.
I am hoping this is just a day one bug, but we'll see

SEVENTEEN major iterations of the OS now. Would it kill them just to allow the option to put a fu@king number row above the QWERTY row on the keyboard???? Without some hack or app add-on? Geez!

you need to give it time to settle and index. now there are processes in the background... remember to update the apps too.
