Anybody else experience some bugginess during the initial introduction screens after installing iOS 18.2 today? When it showed a page about Siri and asked to Continue, I hit Continue and nothing happened. All parts of the screen were unresponsive to touch and ultimately I had to lock the phone. When I unlocked it, it booted me back to the initial screen saying iOS 18.2 has been successfully installed and I had to go through the introduction screens again.

It's different than RC2 in iOS and iPadOS, and RC1 in watchOS. The same as MacOS RC2.
Apparently not, a new build popped up for Intel Macs beyond 24C100.
Strangely it's not showing what the new build number is.
So it's possible a new build will eventually appear for Apple Silicon Macs.

EDIT: A newer build finally popped up for Apple Silicon Macs.

Yikes -- post install, iPhone 16 Pro running quite warm and battery depleting faster than the morning mist...

Very underwhelming and AI seems very slow. Quicker to just copy into chartgpt app.

The mail app looks awful with that primary and shopping cart logos above it now.

Think I’ll be switching those new features off

Maybe a dumb question, but is there a way to turn on Apple Intelligence fully without having to turn on "Hey Siri"? I've never used it, I have no use in using it, I don't ever want to ask Siri anything using my voice and I don't want it eavesdropping, waiting for me to say Hey Siri. But apparently I can't turn on all of the features without enabling it? if so, well then I don't care, I doubt I'll ever use any of it's features anyway.

It’s a brave new world.

I see it and am eager to try out, but I’ll wait at least a few hours to be safe (given all the new features). Many thanks to all of you for testing in recent weeks.

Just give it a shot, it’s fiya

Is it newer than Build 22C151?

Yep
"- Natural language search in Apple Music and Apple TV app lets you describe what you're looking for using any combination of categories like genres, moods, actors, decades, and more"

This isn't blocked via a waitlist is it?

No, sir/maam

It’s windows-ish but it works. Nice change of pace…

As far as time goes: fastest update eva.

I can't find how to get Genmoji. I'm on an iPhone 16 pro max, it's not anywhere obvious. Can someone help? I think the feature is pulled from the latest build

EDIT: If you have 'stickers' turned off in settings - general - keyboard, then Genmoji doesn't show up

To be fair, I think that was because of lot of background downloads and installs for the new Apple Intelligence features / AI Models. Under Apple Intelligence in settings after installing it says “Downloading Support for Apple Intelligence. Connect iPhone to Wi-Fi and power while models are downloading”.

But once that’s completed if it doesn’t get better, I will join you in the worry line.
