Yes, reaction to Kuos post from yesterday.
But let’s be clear, there are no sales yet, just pre-orders ;)
And the real indicator will be Apples Q4 earnings eo Oct, until then, rumors
 
I thought Siri had a new look the glow from the edges of the phone I still get that circle at the bottom of the screen?
 
Did I read 4 people who updated ended up with a bricked M4 iPad? Did anyone successfully updated a M4 iPad without issues?
 
Installed 17.7...then 18.0 two hours later. Everything seems to be fine.

Like many are saying here...and have been saying since the Beta's, this new Photos app / area.
Wow...I absolutely hate it. Even removing some of the categories (bottom button "Customize & Reorder"), clears a lot of clutter...but it's just awful.

I cleared out old photos, New pics..why are my photos at the bottom now? 😒

Widgets I used on the dedicated widget section:
iOS 10, iOS 11 - Weather, Music, News, Widget Calendar
iOS 12 - same with iOS 11 except text alignment on Music widget got destroyed
iOS 13, iOS 14, iOS 15, iOS 16 - Weather, News, Widget Calendar
iOS 17 - same with iOS 16 except News widget is now exclusive only to countries with access
iOS 18 - Weather widget only because legacy widgets no longer supported

Gee, I wonder why?

Same basic hardware design for at least the last five years. No innovation in the design—but adding new buttons that you need to remember how they work instead of “just” working is a good thing. The buggy iOS doesn’t seem to get anything better—except the bloat. Announcing AI vaporware and basing device sales on that was a solid business choice—please, please buy the new phone and you’ll have whiz bang AI features to play with (in a month or two, or three—four TOPS).

Yeah, I think I’ll get a 15 to upgrade my 13 when they start having the fire sales to get their numbers up.
 
I really love this update.

I love the Photos App. I am one of the minority that loves it. so refreshing and interactive.

I do wish we can enable Face ID in the Settings App so that if we open settings, face ID is required. That will make the iphone and accounts even safer, in my opinion.

Currently there is no option so i only use shortcuts to lock the Settings App and require Face ID.

My OTHER storage is higher this time - 13 GB. I used to have only 6 GB of Others in ios 17. maybe it is still indexing.

Ipad pro m2, iphone 14 pro now on ios/ipados 18. :)
 
I just wanted to mention that i didn't experience any issues when updating from io17 to ios18 on my ipad 4M 11", the brick happened when trying to perform a clean ios 18 installation.

The only thing that saved me was downgrading to ipadOS 17. phew... but it was close....

My spouse didn’t even know he updated to 17.7 rather than upgrade to 18. I had to tell him. lol. lol.
 
I don't need any of this mess. I don't want to even read through the list of ho-hum features. Except the calculator. I want that. That's AMAZING!
 
i think those people who bricked their iPad are all via OTA Update.

Also, having limited available storage will cause failures as well.

Ever since i bricked my previous iPhones and iPad via OTA (with death black screen), i always update my devices now via Finder doing full image update. and no issues so far.

It is a camera phone. How exactly would you redesign it?
