Does anyone know if the 'Family' section lock has changed? Because the same Screen Time restrictions used to work in that section as well...

I hate the increased bezel within the display area in certain apps, like Fitness and Health. The Control Center is undeniably crammed as well.

Apple reduces the physical bezel just to add it back in software.

Does anybody know how is it on 11 Pro? Thinking if I should pull the trigger, currently on 17.6.1

Thank you. I usually update OTA. Space should not be an issue though, I currently have 880 GB available.
Mine was OTA and I had plenty of free space. The Apple store stated mine was a logic board failure. I did notice maybe two weeks ago my iPad did not charge when plugged in overnight. I re plugged it in and it worked fine back then. May not be related but it appears to be now.

YES THIS IS MY ISSUE too but not with iphone storage or anything....it is with icloud storage. I realize iphone storage and icloud storage are 2 different things but it appears I have more iphone storage than i do icloud storage after ios 18 update. For example when I was on ios 17.6.1 I had 57mb then when I updated to ios 18 I deleted the old backup per usual as I always do and I backed up again and my icloud storage jumped up to 81mb then I did it again, deleted old backup backed up again then it went to 83mb then did it again now its 97mb.......this should not be happening. When you delete old backups your storage should go down not up. When you mention logic board failure what does that mean? Is that something on the server end? Im thinking that this bug I am having has something to do with the icloud server end. We know that it takes 24hrs-4 days for things to clear on the icloud server end. So Im wondering if this is my issue with the icloud storage. This is just my opinion. Ive spoken to apple MANY TIMES since yesterday. I was forced to buy more storage just to be safe. My phone is brand new, got it last oct. its se 2022. I only have 25 contacts, 1 pic, 0 texts 0 music no videos nothing......this means my storage should be 40mb or something...this is why I choose not to have much on my phone because of issues like this. This might be the WORSE IOS UPDATE ever. And Ive had iphones since 2007 when I got the 4s.

When you say mb's do you actually mean gb's? There are 1000 mb in 1gb.. If you have a 5gb iCloud storage plan, 97mb's is nothing.

For my failure I am talking about on my iPad per the Apple employee. It's that circuit board that is connected to the charging port. She said when she tested it there was no power at all.

It’s a big disappointment that you can’t move icons around differently for different Home Screen setups. Defeats the purpose of having this flexibility to move the icons around a specific photo

Does anyone on iPhone 15 Pro Max have an iOS 17 vs 18 Geekbench, an hour or so after updating to 18?

iOS 17.6.1, 15 Pro Max
CPU
Single:2962
Multi:7463
GPU Metal 27508
About an hour after upgrading... bit of a hit to CPU Multi-core, might try again tomorrow after some time for phone to index

iOS 18.0, 15 Pro Max
CPU
Single:2840
Multi:7050
GPU Metal 28560

ATTENTION! iPhone 14 Pro, converting on device 48 MP ProRAW images into 48 MP HEIC is impossible now! Conversion to original size either in HEIC or JPG results in 3024x4032 images instead of 6048x8064 now.

Looks like a bug with the files app converting and keeping original size? I followed this and got the smaller size also on 15 pro max

*alternatively use another app to save a copy of your raw, I tried Darkroom and it saved an original resolution to the camera roll

Yes, the quick action converts only from 48 MP to 12 MP, on MacOS and iPadOS unfortunately too. I hope that is a bug and not a new "feature".
