Makes sense. Don't worry about the security fixes, or other fixes, not mentioned by Apple. What's the worst that could happen?I’ve encountered none of these bugs so probably won’t update, for now

I think your iPad may be too old for this update.Available for my iPhone, but not my iPad.
Apple claimed for decades to be a software company that made hardware. If the software sucks, who cares about the hardware?Honestly, some of y'all are so damn dramatic.
It’s a better and more polished version. Updating is recommended. Could also contain security fixes. iOS 18.7.1 was also released.I’ve encountered none of these bugs so probably won’t update, for now
How long did it take for your update to complete?17 Pro Max WiFi issues fixed for me with 26.0.1. In my opinion this update took too long to get out considering how debilitating this bug was.
Welcome to the MacRumors Forums<<For those who are unable to update to iOS 26.0.1, Apple has released a iOS 18.7.1 update.>>
You mean for those who want no part of iOS 26. I bought my first Apple product in 1995, a Power Macintosh 8500. This is the first time in 30 years Apple has released something so bad and perplexing that I will walk away rather than accept it and pretend to like it.
I got this too and I think wireless d/c is what it fixesPlease tell me this also fixes wired CarPlay crashing. From the notes it appears to fix the reasoning behind wireless crashing at least...

My iPhone 17 Pro Max has been 3 hours with the progress bar at 99%. But no reboot.
Are you serious? I guess I will avoid putting this on my 17 pro maxSomething to note - both my Air and 17 Pro are scorching hot after this update. Waiting for them to cool down, had to put them on top of the air purifier vent so that wind can cool them off, never had a phone get this hot before.
Also, none of the visual bugs since beta 7 were fixed.
Millions are using it fine? Not sure what planet you are from but there isn't millions using iOS 26 fine.Seriously?
You make it sound like iOS 26 the end of the world yet millions of us are using it just fine.
In fact maybe Android is perfect for you if truly unable to handle this horrific change Apple has done.
There is a hope because these are just digital smudges:
If you are having battery problems, Apple suggests you get the 17PM.No battery fixes? Damn.
Huh. I wonder if this is that bug I encountered on the Air in the store that day. I know this note is on the iPad version, but it’s not out of the realm of possibility. We know devs don’t announce ALL their changes…For the sake of completeness, these are the fixes that were shown on my iPad:
- Floating keyboard may change positions unexpectedly
- VoiceOver may become disabled for some users after updating to iPadOS 26
