The are two updates I'm waiting for eagerly. SwiftKey (so that it hopefully fixes the slight visual misalignment with the upper edge of the SwiftKey keyboard) and Mactracker, because I want to see the new devices listed and their specs. I'm hoping they come soon.

Honestly, some of y'all are so damn dramatic.
Apple claimed for decades to be a software company that made hardware. If the software sucks, who cares about the hardware?

iOS and iPadOS 26 are the most controversial releases since iOS 7. I use Slide Over all the time on my iPad. What’s the 26 equivalent?

EDIT: the macOS like multitasking is not a helpful replacement for Slide Over in my case.

The only issue I’m experiencing since going to 26 is that my watch only reports sleep generally and no longer by type, to Apple Health app.

17 Pro Max WiFi issues fixed for me with 26.0.1. In my opinion this update took too long to get out considering how debilitating this bug was.
How long did it take for your update to complete?
My iPhone 17 Pro Max has been 3 hours with the progress bar at 99%. But no reboot.

Praying it fixes the night mode keyboard not really being dark or switching back and forth. OH and needing to push send more than once in messages way too often than it should.

<<For those who are unable to update to iOS 26.0.1, Apple has released a iOS 18.7.1 update.>>

You mean for those who want no part of iOS 26. I bought my first Apple product in 1995, a Power Macintosh 8500. This is the first time in 30 years Apple has released something so bad and perplexing that I will walk away rather than accept it and pretend to like it.
Welcome to the MacRumors Forums

Your 30 years of ‘Apple Experience’ doesn’t make your opinion anymore than just your opinion.

Several members have said this same line last year, and the year before that, and so on…

Seriously?

You make it sound like iOS 26 the end of the world yet millions of us are using it just fine.
In fact maybe Android is perfect for you if truly unable to handle this horrific change Apple has done.

Something to note - both my Air and 17 Pro are scorching hot after this update. Waiting for them to cool down, had to put them on top of the air purifier vent so that wind can cool them off, never had a phone get this hot before.

Also, none of the visual bugs since beta 7 were fixed.
Are you serious? I guess I will avoid putting this on my 17 pro max

Millions are using it fine? Not sure what planet you are from but there isn't millions using iOS 26 fine.

It's an epic debacle.

Hopefully the blurry icons have been fixed as it doesn’t look good

There is a hope because these are just digital smudges:
Mark Blurrman claims that in 26.02, the glass is wiped clean when you simultaneously long-press the lower right, upper left, and center icon on the home screen. This finger gymnastics gesture will also count towards your daily activity goal !!!

This UI glitch when using the trackpad with my Magic Keyboard in the weather app persists with iPadOS 26.0.1. It was one of the first iOS/iPadOS 26 bugs I had reported. I’ll find out tomorrow if they fixed the issue where Maps freezes if it’s not actually on the screen (in CarPlay anyway) and therefore doesn’t provide navigation guidance… and then when you select Maps again it snaps to your current location and starts working again.

Overall the UI seems slightly smoother on my 13 Pro and M1 iPad Pro than 26.0, but I’m waiting to see if other bugs have been fixed as well, like the occasional rectangular/non-liguid glass address bar in Safari.

Unlocking the phone with Face ID since 26.0 has been very erratic! 26.0.1 didn't fix this bug. Might work once, then the next 6-7 times it kicks me to "Enter Passcode."

I've turned "Require Attention for Face ID" in settings but it didn't do anything.

For the sake of completeness, these are the fixes that were shown on my iPad:

- Floating keyboard may change positions unexpectedly

- VoiceOver may become disabled for some users after updating to iPadOS 26
Huh. I wonder if this is that bug I encountered on the Air in the store that day. I know this note is on the iPad version, but it’s not out of the realm of possibility. We know devs don’t announce ALL their changes…
