Apple Releases iOS 5.0.1 to Address Battery Life Issues [Updated]

I am at work on my Work Wifi connection and I just went to the software update part of my iPhone 4s and it said their was no update

I then went to the bathroom, came back and double checked it and BAAM, it was downloading.

One thing that kinda struck me as funny was...

- Improves voice recognition for Australian users using dictation -

...and then I laughed. Then I realized I live in the deep south, and shoudn't be making fun of the way anybody talks, considering I sound like I'm roughly 5 minutes away from sipping corn out of a mason jar at any given moment. Kinda of a pot-kettle situation.

But hell, I'm a hypocrite. It's funny.

Anyway. It updated fine.

Just got the OTA update (AT&T) and, oddly enough, it is smaller in size than the European one: 38.9 MB.

Update: Several European users are now reporting that iOS 5.0.1 is available as a 44.6 MB over-the-air update on their devices, but it still does not appear to be showing up on devices in the United States.

Someone in Apple must have said let's screw the Europeans first and then we will get to our own countrymen, LOL!

Uk here with an iPhone 4 turn off the phone and back on again and it will appear. I got a notification '1' on my settings app icon.
