Both my iPad and iPhone saw the OTA upgrade. (I'm in Los Angeles) I only upgraded the iPad as I don't want my phone down at the moment. Anyway, the upgrade took between 5 and 10 minutes and went smoothly.

Nothing yet as of 10:45am PST.
Restarted my phone, still no dice.

Changes calculation algorithm

At least in part this seems to work by changing how the phone displays the charge left in the battery. When my phone restarted to apply the update, battery was 97%. It was 99% after restarting.

Reminds me of the "bars" thing.

Downloading right now in the US.

I love how so many of you are whining about having the option for OTA updates. You people will complain no matter what.

"Oh. I just won a quarter billion dollars from the lottery. But I have to drive all the way down to the office to claim it? That's ********."

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A334 Safari/7534.48.3)

It's available for me for OTA download in Chicago.

In the US with an iPhone 4, on AT&T in Phoenix, but on wifi at work right now. Just got the OTA update, about 3 minutes to download and currently "preparing update." I think that took longer than the actual download.

Why does iTunes still not have delta support?

Because if you ever need to fully restore your device iTunes needs the full ipsw. So I guess apple doesn't want you to download the delta and the full ipsw.

My 4s is"checking for update..." right now.
No update for me?

Ok now both my 4s and iPad2 are downloading the update OTA!

Here as well.

Interesting. On my AT&T 4S it didn't show up about 15 minutes ago, so I just went ahead with the download on iTunes. It's nice to see how quickly this is rolling out. Does the OTA update take long to apply? iTunes still does the whole "download everything and restore" routine.

Turn your phone off and back on again.

Yes, still nothing.
I'll give it a few more hours.
No big deal.

You may have a long wait. There was enough information put out yesterday saying do not update if you want a jailbreak. They are almost certain to patch the Charlie Miller vulnerability and that may be an issue.

Hope they were busy and since they rushed this battery bug fix out I hope they didnt patch it.
We'll see though.

OTA is working for me over wifi

3 mins to prepare update
I got a question with a countdown (8-10seconds) if I wanted to install
then update installing took about 5 mins where the device is not useable, apple logo with status bar
reboot
2nd time apple logo and status bar, about 1.30
reboot
at the passcode screen
