Netflix isn't broken. Apple made changes to streaming implementations in iOS 5 and several apps (Netflix, Dropbox) have to make changes, too.

An OS update isn't going "fix" these apps. An update from the developer after Apple begins accepting iOS 5 binaries will.

By the way, Dropbox works again and so does Weather Channel. :)

When I said "broken" it was a quick term for "not working under the beta". I wasn't on the app store giving 1 star reviews or anything. I get how this works.

So.... I was using beta 2 with no problems but since updating to iTunes beta 3 and IOS 5.3 (in that order) I keep getting an error message saying my carrier settings cannot be updated (error 1659) and my IMEI number is n/a - any suggestions?

Much Improved

Beta 3 feels much more responsive. Additionally, my Chase Bank app works again. It was crashing under Beta 2. I have two outstanding issues, some of the Emoji keyboard icons don't translate well to non iOS5 devices. The coloring is off. Also, I noticed I was unable to change my home screen wallpaper after updating. I have tried changing both Home and Lock but the option to change just my home screen failed.

My weather app lost the page that shows the weather at the current location. Anyone else's doing this? Also, when I pull down the notification bar, the weather temperature will update, but the location name won't. That problem was also happening to me under beta 2.

Edit: Nevermind. Apparently, I had to go back into the weather app, hit the info button at the bottom right, then re-enable local weather. I never had to do that in beta 1 or 2. I guess it's because they made some changes with location services.

Beta 3 definitely feels snappier. My Chase app finally works again, it was down all of beta 2..... The only thing that still doesnt work is instacast... it doesnt download podcasts from some of my subscriptions.

Has anyone else had a problem with the headset buttons not working work on beta 3? They dont pause, or raise/lower the volume of music, etc.

EDIT... Seems to just be my headset. This is the second apple headset that just went out on me like that.

Beta2 was exceptionally smooth for me; however, I'm finding beta3 to be buggy as all get out on my iPad2 (wifi). Many of my apps will crash on opening. I can immediately restart the app without a problem. Also encountering many more crashes of Safari (I only experienced maybe half a dozen on beta2). On several occasions when trying to type, the keyboard will display with no graphics on the keys -- just blank chiclets. Also, the text isn't wrapping in the Mail app when composing an email. Certainly not the end of the world, but definitely a step back. I may try reinstalling to see if some of these quirks go away.

Text to Speech/Voice Control voice

Anyone noticed that the high quality nuance like voice has gone that appeared in beta 2, its now back to the more robotic sounding voice for voice control and text to speech that was in beta 1, beta 2 voice sounded very realistic.

Does anyone know how to disable the email on iMessage.

My friend is sending me an iMessage coming from his iPhone. but i'm receiving from his email? anyone have a fix for this?

issue: when sending MMS to droid phones (so far this is all i can track it down to) the picture comes to them very small. when sending to another person with an iphone the MMS comes across full screen...

the droids were on vzw.
the iphones were on att and vzw.

Glad to see that the Safari video controls are appearing again. That was annoying.

Twitter is still crashing when I try to view my profile though :/ Not sure if that's iOS 5 problem or Twitter's problem.

video controls not back on mine

Does anyone know how to disable the email on iMessage.

My friend is sending me an iMessage coming from his iPhone. but i'm receiving from his email? anyone have a fix for this?

that's cos he's got his iMessage caller ID set to be his email, in settings -> messages, scroll to "receive at", in there at the bottom is calller ID, he's got it set as his email, not his mobile number

Have they added an option for a Calendar event look ahead in the Notifications Center?

Or does it still only show events that are upcoming in the next 24H?

I see mostly everyone says beta 3 is better, but for me its worse on both my iPhone 4 and iPad. My experience has been similar with all 3 betas on both my devices. 1 was extremely buggy, safari constantly crashing dozens of times a day, scrolling is web pages was glitchy, as was the home screen movements. Beta 2 was much much better for me. Much fewer safari crashes. Beta 3 now seems back to safari constantly crashing as well as moving between home screens is very jerky. Also scrolling In safari is absolutely horrible, let alone in third party apps viewing pages is almost unbearable.

I also noticed if I have an In page video if I maximize on iPad, it opens up the YouTube app. Don't like. Also when I play the video on web page, the play button still stays on but I can see the circular wait icon As well. Videos seem to cause lots of crashes too.

Been pretty stable on my iPhone 4 and iPad 2 the past 24 hours. Just three things that are bugging me...

- After my iPad has been asleep it has completely shut down causing a hard reset to work again. Happened 3 times so far :(

- Can't update my apps, just hangs when trying to download.

- Notification center brought espn score center notifications from 2 days ago in when I got new notifications this morning. Only time today this happened so hopefully it won't again, but really not that big of a deal.

All in all still happy with the performance.
