Now after restore I got a similar screen to this, only during the sync, I no longer see a spinning "sync" symbol anywhere at the top ... but even while syncing all my apps the OS is much faster.
 
Im running the golden master of Lion and just trying to update to itunes 10.5 beta 2 to beta 3 but after I install it, it doesnt open the logo just bounces up once and then nothing happens. Anyone else got this problem ?
 
My iPhone 4 (GSM) displays the spinny circle in the center of the screen if I try to double-tap Home (multi-tasking bar) then goes back to enter passcode @ the lock screen, every time. Tried rebooting twice, still does it...anyone else?
 
Can someone check safari video streaming?

There was a particularly nasty bug in the last beta: when you tapped on an embedded movie (or just opened in a movie from a link on a page) in the middle of a web page, it would go to full screen, but you'd lose the on-screen controls.

No matter how many times or where you tapped, the controls would not appear (pause, play, forward, rewind, scrub bar)

Can someone tell me if this is fixed?

The install instructions are on the developer website at Apple: developer.apple.com . There's no reason you should be bricking your devices.

Restoring from Backup Problem?

Has anyone had the problem where you do a proper backup in beta 2, install 3 on device and iTunes, but when restoring from backup after it works successfully, it goes right back to the backup screen?

I restore, get a success, and then when it goes to sync, it asks to set up new, or restore from old. I tried it 3 times, and it seems to be an infinite loop. Setting up as a new phone will lose all of my apps and their order. Anyone have any ideas?

nope, still no controls, you have to pinch to get out.
 
Wifi sync does not work anymore for me... does anyone encounter the same problem?

For those that were asking, WiFi sync is still not enabled for Windows.

If you are having trouble syncing wirelessly on a mac, an iTunes restart should correct it.

Yeah, that bug sucked. Same with the "can't copy/paste into safari" bug. :(

Looking forward to both of these being fixed, hopefully in b3.
 
Netflix (streaming) and HBO GO still aren't working. :mad:

I'm really getting sick of sitting at my computer to watch HBO GO. Oh well...
I'm sure HBO is just trying to make sure that there is no possible way for people to watch HBO GO on an external display via video out/AirPlay.
 
Found another bug. You can't set your home screen or lock screen wallpaper from the photos app you have to go into settings>>wallpaper and do it from there.

It's a beta. if you want all your apps to work the restore to 4.3.3.

Same. I couldn't get it to work yet. I'll try some more when I get home. My iPhone sync worked for a minute, then I quit iTunes, and now my iPhone and iPad won't show up. So it does work.

FaceTime has been disabled since beta 2 (in the release notes). What is the length of the ringtone you are trying to sync?
 
BUGS:

cant select more then 1 picture under camera roll to MMS.
when sending a screen shot in MMS some of the picture is cut off
can't seem to sync notes or contacts from my mac to the iphone, it keeps defaulting from cloud.


...still exploring.
 
Auto enhance, Crop, Red Eye Fix

A heads up guys for us iPhone 3GS users in iOS 5 Beta 3 we have the option to auto enhance, crop and red eye fix.
 
Just out of curiosity do you have to have beta 2 installed before you upgrade to beta 3? Or can you go direct from 4.3? I know im probably gonna be called an idiot for asking since im not actually a developer, just an apple fanboy. I've done just about every other tweak since the original iphone and thought it might be fun to take the plunge and play around with a beta. Thanks.
 
It's a full restore, so I can't imagine why you should need a previous beta installed. Working great on my iPad 2, being a pita on my iPhone 4
