Glad to see that the Safari video controls are appearing again. That was annoying.

Twitter is still crashing when I try to view my profile though :/ Not sure if that's iOS 5 problem or Twitter's problem.

how can i force sync my contacts and notes from my PC to my iphone? it keeps wanting to pull from cloud :|

Hey when I try plugging my ipad in and then clicking Option+Restore and clicking on the IPSW file, it says "firmwire file not compatible". I am 100% certain I clicked on the correct download link I went to on the site I got it from. Does anyone know what hte problem could be?

Everything worked fine when I did it with my iphone 4 GSM

You probably ran TinyUmbrella and it modified your host file. You need to get ride of the line that says gs.apple.com so it can verify the install with Apple.

bug: when you get a MMS, you have to PINCH OUT in order to view the picture without the tops and bottoms getting cut off, seems the preview isnt scaling to full screen for some reason. try sending yourself a MMS you will see what i am saying.

I hope so too. My wife is ready to kill me after I put this on our iPhones and our iPad and it killed Netflix!

As well she should. This is a DEVELOPER PREVIEW. For testing devices. And you should have put a copy of your 4.3 IPSW on your desktop before upgrading (iPad only) so you could restore if you were going to experiment with production hardware.

Found another bug. You can't set your home screen or lock screen wallpaper from the photos app you have to go into settings>>wallpaper and do it from there.

Thanks for posting this. Tried it from photos twice and rebooted before I came here. I forgot there was a wallpaper option in settings

Native videos app broken?

Is the native :apple: Videos app broken for anyone else?

All I get is a blank blue bar at the top and a blank white screen. After about 30 seconds, the app closes.

I'm having an issue where it isn't syncing my music.

1) Restore and update
2) Restore settings from iCloud
3) Sync with Mac
4) No matter what I do, music won't sync. No errors, just won't sync.

bug: good luck downgrading to 4.3.3 its failed around 5 times for me so far tonight lol

ihonda - Ya know there is a reason why Apple said this in the developer center:

Devices updated to iOS 5 beta can not be restored to earlier versions of iOS. Devices will be able to upgrade to future beta releases and the final iOS 5 software.

Twitter thing happens to me too. I just use their site via Safari for profile viewing. Same app works fine on 4.3.3 so probably iOS 5

Wifi sync does not work anymore for me... does anyone encounter the same problem?
(I'm assuming you're on a Mac - Wi-Fi Sync doesn't work on Windows yet.) With your device plugged into USB, make sure "Sync over Wi-Fi connection" is checked in iTunes and click Apply. I had to re-check it after restoring from iOS 5 beta 2 to iOS 5 beta 3.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8C148 Safari/6533.18.5)

Any word if this new version allows one to edit or delete apps from the "purchased" list that now show up?

I downgraded perfectly fine.

1) Uninstall iTunes beta 3
2) Reinstall iTunes 10.3
3) Put iOS device in DFU mode
4) Restore
5) ???
6) PROFIT!!

I think the other way of looking at it.
1) Release beta software
2) Warn not for personal devices, developers only
3) Bugs (as is normal for a beta)!
4) Countless toadies non developers bugger their iOS devices
5) PROFIT!!

Added bonus if they are Windows only users as they can't run XCode.
* why on Earth did Apple release 10.5 beta for Windows?

Aren't notifications supposed to be clickable in the lock screen? On my iPad 2 I can see the notifications on the lock screen but cannot swipe to open them or tap them. Is it by design?

OK this is ridiculous. There is no good reason why I shouldn't get the wifi syncing I've been demanding from day one. I even emailed Steve about it years ago. So draconian Apple wants me to out and buy a new iPhone to get their crappy new software? Screw them. I'll go buy an Android Galaxy S2 instead.

Ahahahaha THANK YOU dear Sir! That laugh was exhilarating :D
BTW: Beta3 installed fine on my iPad2 WiFi and iPhone4 —*no problems with iTunes b3 under Lion GM, too
