Thanks Apple! My birthday was yesterday, but better late than never! Thanks!

And it will somehow compensate for the broken ankle I got the day before my birthday... :(

What is voice chat? Is that just the API level VOIP support, or is there like some non-video FaceTime feature I didn't notice?

iOS 5 gets a little more magical with every beta. I truly cannot wait to load my iPhone 3G with this revolutionary software when its finally released.

The iPhone 3G doesn't support iOS 5. The only devices that support it are the iPhone 3GS and up, the iPod Touch 3rd generation and up, and all current iPads.

Hmm. I hope a jailbreak will be released soon after iOS 5's public release. :D

I hope so too. Couldn't stream media files.

OMG are you for real?

As everyone else has said, support for the iPhone 3G and iPod touch 2G ended at iOS 4.2.1.

Here's a picture of the supported devices from the OG post on this thread.

I hope so too. My wife is ready to kill me after I put this on our iPhones and our iPad and it killed Netflix!

...I currently only update my iPhone and the work iPad to new betas, both my wife and my son like their devices to stay "magical" :)

OK this is ridiculous. There is no good reason why I shouldn't get the wifi syncing I've been demanding from day one. I even emailed Steve about it years ago. So draconian Apple wants me to out and buy a new iPhone to get their crappy new software? Screw them. I'll go buy an Android Galaxy S2 instead.
