Im wary to update my iPhone until its jailbroken.

I think I found the solution for the error message. I had the error message too and after ejecting the phone and plugging it back in, the update worked. Hope this helps.

It's built into the normal messages app. If your friend also has iOS 5, it will use that instead. Notice the change in color. iMessage = blue, normal SMS/MMS = green. It's incredibly fast, almost instant! You can also see if someone else is typing. It's brilliant!

I don't understand iMessage, either. How do you send an "iMessage"? Is it integrated into texting? An iPod touch has no phone number, so how do you send an iMessage to an iPod Touch user?

Its built right into the message app so you don't have to use two separate apps, it does it all automatically

I use MyWi religiously every day. I had to update tonight. Couldn't stand it Plus I wanted a fresh install to clean out all the JB crap that slowed my 4.3.5 down. I only use MyWi and that's it.

My gf verizon iphone is doing the same exact ****

tried the following
1. restarted pc twice
2. restarted itunes after force closing
3. turned off iphone, held down home button, plugged back in
4. ejected and plugged back in


EVERY TIME IT GIVES ME THE ERROR WHAT THE F IS THIS...

By using the Apple ID instead. Same with WIFI iPads. What we need now is iChat/Facetime messaging via iMessage. That would be awesome!

Oh the irony! I'm not able to get iOS 5.0 restored onto my iPhone 4 because my MacBook Pro is running iTunes 10.5.1 BETA which obviously don't work with the iOS 5.0 release.

Just to make matters better I can't install iTunes 10.5 because I alredy got a newer version installed already.

Swipe down on the home screen. You can customize in the "Notifications" menu under settings. Still looking on info on adding more widgets...

Try downloading the restore file of ios 5 for verizon. Maybe apple is serving verizon iphone 4 users the gsm firmware?

My iPhone 4 automatically loaded my back-up without me doing anything...weird.

I can get on my phone, but itunes has been showing "Restoring iPhone app..." for the past hour. Most of them weren't on my phone when I first got on it...will they start appearing once iTunes finishing restoring?

I've been too scared to open my phone to check :/
