maybe a restore fixes the facebook app from crashing? thats what im planning on doing anyway.

Re: Facebook - they're getting a taste of their own medicine today. They are notorious for changing APIs without alerting anyone at all. Businesses that depend on them simply wake up one day to find that their products/services no longer work.

I'm sure Facebook will update their app shortly.

Facebook runs fine here, on both my iPhone 5 and iPad 2 after updating to 6.0.1.

For those having trouble, maybe corrupted local data? Try deleting the app and reinstalling it, that clears local data.

If not, the bug could be tickled by something in your timelines. Whatever that is must not be present in mine.

I just put my iPhone 5 into Recovery Mode and restored from backup and Facebook is now working properly again.

I'm guessing some are getting corrupt OTA updates while others are fine.

Edit: Nope, Spoke too soon! FB still toast!

Please tell me that the stretchy blob thing is gone from the top of the screen when pulling to refresh mail. Please...

Nope. Said stretchy blob thing is still present.

Don't you remember how pleased Scott was when he first showed this during his WWDC presentation :D

RTP.

Double same here. After FB crashes, and your double click the home button, it shows that FB is still running in tray. Weird.

Facebook is not "running" in the tray.

The single biggest misconception with iOS these days is people who think apps are always "running" in the multitasking tray.

Whatever. The point I was trying to make is that after it crashes it's still in the tray.

No issues with FB after the update. However, immediately after the update, I received this iMessage.

So I don't believe Facebook crashing or not, has ANYTHING to do with 6.0.1. I think its likely a timing coincidence. Reason; I'm still on 6.0 and my FB was working fine an hour or so ago. NOW it's crashing at launch every time !!!!!!

Facebook (iPhone 5) works fine for me... scrolled down a good length, closed it, relaunched it... (from task tray as well)... no problems here. Odd.

My 4s continues to have wifi problems after the 6.0.1 update. Very disappointing. I'll keep troubleshooting maybe there's a way to fix it, after the 'fix' has been applied.

I went out to iTunes to test, and bought an album, and it's downloading at like 2.4k a sec...so annoying.

I work on a large campus and some of the routers seem to work fine...but the one that I'm staring at out of my office door and every other one in my campus building doesn't work for shi t.

"Resolves an issue that prevents iPhone from using the cellular network in some instances"

I hope I can now make calls where I live.

I've been awfully sick of my iPhone 4 and now my iPhone 4S not being able to access Cellular Data at random. Happens a couple times every month, but this has been happening for months now. Toggling AirPlane mode usually fixes it immediately, but that's become a nuisance. Hopefully this is the fix for it. It's the last and final glitch I have on the iPhone.

Did Forstall fix Maps icon ?

Image

That is absolutely hysterical! I've never noticed that before now. Love it!

Either it was a blatant oversight by Scott and his crew, or they knew Maps would be so bad that they had to make a bad parody icon for it to match. Hell, even the graphic for the different, non-intersecting roads would have given them a clue that the icon makes no sense. Eh. It all fits in the end.
