In all seriousness I did notice in the past 3 updates, on my iPhone 5, that if I went to Settings, went out of it, and went back into it..... had more to do but forgot or whatever the reason, there would be a couple of seconds where the software would become unresponsive. Other apps, though not all, were like this as well. So far I haven't noticed it after the update.

This could be happening if you have anything in your Passbook. It's always looking at your location when you wake up the phone so it can display your tickets, cards, etc. when you arrive at the airport, store, theater, or wherever. It will stop doing that if you remove your things from Passbook.

This can be turned off by hitting the 'i' in the bottom right corner of a Passbook & adjust the settings.

You people are funny. THe bug is announced, you cry for blood. They release a fix, you say "thank you, but no thank you"...

For crying out loud...

It's because they want to keep iOS jailbroken. Same here. I'm not installing this. Besides, I don't use a passcode, and I don't live in Japan. I guess I'll miss out on Safari being faster though :/

Please spare us all and go get an android phone so we don't have to read negative stuff all the time.

It kills the jailbreak and doesn't improve anything significant. Why would anyone who is jailbroken install this?

Not necessarily negative, per say. Just saying "no thanks" to an update that really isn't necessary for them. Or at least not worth losing their JB for. And even if they were meant as negative, that's what these forums are for….Voicing are own, individual opinions. Which sometimes, ironically, might be negative.

What i find funny is people who get personally offended when others post anything negative about Apple. It's like someone just insulted your wife or girlfriend. I love Apple products just as much as most people in here. But I couldn't care less if others "think differently". (pun intended)

This update put my iphone into recovery - even it was not a jailbroken.... now my iTunes does not want to restore it.... raging.

I noticed something different after updating to the new software. I hit the power button to turn my phone on ( it had been sitting idle for about 10 mins) and I immediately noticed that the screen came on with a different effect. Sorta like a dimming effect but in reverse. Starting dim then getting bright. Happens so fast you have to watch to see it.

Anyone else notice this?

Why do non jailbreakers hate jailbreakers so much?

It's the Apple worshipping cult thing.

They think Apple can do no wrong, so there must be something wrong with us for wanting to jailbreak our devices to do things Apple does not allow.

Personally I think it's an immature, stupid attitude, but then this is the Internet. When has there ever been a lack of immaturity and stupidity online?

If the hardware and software can support it, then whats the problem?
So many talented devs out there creating so many cool and useful tweaks

With the Jailbreak, the iPhone is waaaaay better then anything out there.

Yeah I like my jailbreak and waited a long time for it. No way I'm giving that up!

Also glad I restored updated to 6.1.2 to get the exchange bug fix, and re-jailbroke it before Apple release 6.1.3…

Guess I'm screwed. iPhone was plugged in and gave me the popup about updating a few minutes ago. I clicked canceled since I never update and a minute later, my phone turned back on and is now stuck on recovery and I can't even exit it with TinyUmbrella. Stuck on a loop. Guess I'll loose my JB now and be forced to update now :(

No thanks your update sucks

----------

I hope millions of users dont update so that apple understands their OS is ancient history and people will not give up their jailbreak enhancements

Yep, "millions" as in 2% of all iOS users. Just sayin'. :)

I don't even jailbreak my phone, just my iPad.

I depend on my phone daily, it is a critical device to me. So I'd rather not threaten its stability by jailbreaking. The iPad, if it dies during a trip, no big deal. I can DFU when I get home. So it gets jailbroken.

I hear that a lot: "my phone must be stable, I rely on it." I definitely understand this concern but

My phone is rock solid stable, and it's jailbroken with 49 tweaks. And it's not like I want to jeopardize it being a stability mess either, the iPhone in my pocket is my only phone.

Plus, if it were unstable, why not just uninstall the tweaks that are the culprits or if you can't narrow it down, restore and no harm at all?

Still, if you have no need or desire for additional features, then fair enough.

Oh sweet. I was almost worried that someone would use the pass code bug and steal all of my contacts and prank them so I switched over to the Galaxy S3. Atleast now they can't do the passcode bug.
