Here in LA I got the update right at 10:00 PST. This time remaining meter is way off. Says less than a minute, clearly another 15.

Both iPad (3rd gen) and iPhone 4S currently updating. iPad says 23 mins but the iPhone is a little quicker. Well, a lot. It's 14 minutes or so.

It's available here (UK), but when I clicked 'Download and Update' in iTunes, the box disappeared but no download started.

Still waiting, impatiently

There seems to be a randomness about this whole thing. I don't show an update on my iPhone 4S or iPad 2, but a coworker (same carrier and wifi network) has it available on his iPhone 4 (and he doesn't even want it yet since many features don't work).

Is there an interval between checking? My iPad doesn't even seem to check when I select software update. Just tells me it's up to date (with a seeming disdain for my plight).
