Has anyone been able to get passbook to do anything other than open the App Store?

Sephora sent me an email saying that I could add my Beauty Insider Rewards card to Passbook. I did that, but now that's the only thing that shows whenever I open it.

Hmmm it appears apple maps still needs some work

Here is a case in point on why apple maps still needs a lot of work before it can compete with google maps.

This first post is apple maps

LOL I am also in Houghton, MI and I could start my download.
I could download like 10 minutes after I made that post… But it's good to see that there's another hooper on the forums! I'm going to Tech for my first year right now, and kids that see my 27" iMac setup either think that it's gorgeous (minority) or an "overpriced piece of s***" (majority). I always make sure to prove them wrong :apple:

The question is, is that just a favorable photo for google or is it like that on everything ?

My guess is you can find examples of superior photos on either...

Not going to IOS6 until we get better maps or Google puts out their own maps app. I'm fine with letting others do the transit maps, but releasing the maps without annoying having done any transit maps is ridiculously bad planning. I'm glad they love cars and rushed to get turn-by-turn directions in there, yet abandon the thousands of us who live in cities....

Has anyone played with the Bluetooth MAP feature of iOS 6? I have an iPhone 4 and don't notice any difference with my head unit in my car.. maybe it's only for newer iPhones? :(

All okay so far w iOS 6 on my iPhone 4 and iPad 3 (and 10.8.2 on rMBP).

But iPad 1 (which didn't get an update) "can't connect to iTunes" when I hit "Updates" in App Store app (since iOS 6 is out for others). There should be 22 updates for apps (according to the badge) but it just brings up an error message.

I even did a reboot of iPad 1: The same like before. Did they mess up iPad 1? Does the apps update function work for anyone w iPad 1?

Camera bug.

I am not sure, I think I may have found a bug. Early today, I put my 4S into my shirt pocket after upgrade. Just a few minutes ago, I was surprised to find my iPhone in my shirt was getting very hot. (it was not smoking but I could have used it as an iron.)

When I got my iPhone out of my pocket, It had been recording video for quite some time. The only thing I can think, the proximity sensor did not know it was in my pocket and when I was running around, it thought I hit the record slide. The battery was down to 50%. I let the phone sit and when it cooled down, it came back to 75%.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think I'm going to keep my iDevices on iOS 5.

I have a iPhone 4 and New iPad and there appears to only be negatives to updating to iOS 6.

With previous iOS releases I was like a kid on xmas eve waiting for the update to drop, with this one I'm going to actively avoid it.

There isn't Siri option on iPad 2 ? I can't find it.

*Siri is available on iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPad (3rd generation), and iPod touch (5th generation) and requires Internet access.

Siri is available in Beta only on iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPad (3rd generation), and iPod touch (5th generation) and requires Internet access. Siri may not be available in all languages or in all areas, and features may vary by area. Cellular data charges may apply.

Check out Roadify (app store) to see if it provides transit data for your city.

the map app in iOS 6 is a nightmare for people in Hong Kong. Don't even have detailed street names.

Exactly! I have an iPhone 4 and an iPod touch 4. I tried updating my iPod touch 4 to iOS 6 and found that the Maps app isn't on a par with Google Maps... Much more localisation is needed ASAP!

Meanwhile, I think I'll just keep my iPhone 4 with iOS 5.1.1 and see how iOS 6 improves...

I wish Apple held off with their maps until its ready for prime time. It will be awhile for them to catch up, if they do catch up, with Google. This petty war against Google in the expense of consumers is a very selfish act on their part.

I am pleased with ios6 so far. Only concern is Maps. This is a huge huge dissapointment, picture quality is way lower than google maps. Also there are regions in Europe with no street data! Wtf? Are we back to 1995? :(

Did not expect this, looks like a bad beta version.

Hope google brings an own maps app soon, would be easier than having to use it through the browser.
