Ever since upgrading my iPhone 5 to ios7 I've had periods where my battery drains 20% in 30 minutes while not being used. Not to mention the phone shutting off and claiming to be dead battery at the 30-40% range.

Yadda, yadda, yadda. Your battery has one or more bad cells. This behavior is what happens. Have the battery tested and replaced.

(cue meaningless rant about how this didn't happen before iOS 7)

I feel like the lack of excitement I get from a bug fix update is the kind of excitement an Android user gets when their phone finally gets updated to an OS that was originally released 9 months ago.

Is that a euphomism for where FaceTime calls my mom after I dialed my dad and then the history of the FaceTime app and the history of the Phone app disagree with each other over who I just called?
Mine always correctly calls my mom but the phone and FaceTime recents list sometimes says I FaceTimed with my dad. My dad doesn't have any iOS device or smart phone of any kind. The only contact info they share is home phone number and address. Neither of those are used for my mom's FaceTime account.

I think you could have used a better adjective. :)

Haha. When I'm serious, I try to avoid the "S" word. I'm on a 4S and switching tabs, tapping on links, page loading, etc. seem to have improved a bit.

Edit: Holyshit, it won't stop crashing now. It just crashed 3 times in a row. Apple better fix this!

I don't see how it's meaningless that in the 12 months prior to ios7 releasing, this issue never happened once. Then it happens almost every day since I put ios7 on the phone?

One of the reasons I switched after a long line of Android phones. Prior to my iPhone 5S, I had a Droid 3, Droid 2, HTC Evo Shift, and Samsung Moment. All phones with slide out qwerty keyboards :) Once they stopped making those I lost the primary driver keeping me with Android. Using iMessage on my computer has mostly made up for the lack of a qwerty keyboard, though I do find the virtual keyboard on the iPhone 5S pretty frustrating.

It really bugged me when I'd have UI issues with my Android phone that were fixed long ago, but no updates were available. I really like the apple supports their phones. I would have considered a nexus-like device, but I prefer Verizon and they don't seem to have any stock android devices available.

I can't sync either. It goes through the full cycle but the songs do not show up on my phone. Also, when I click on "on this phone" in iTunes, the songs are there but show the downloading icon next to them.

No syncing on my iPod Touch 5. Gets to step 6 and just sits there. Well, one time it did resync my entire music library to my iPod, but other than that, no dice.

And now none of my music is even on the iPod. just a red circle with a red square inside it next to every song. UGH.

EDIT: It is now transferring my entire library again after about a ten minute wait.

Still no fix for long addresses in Contacts - you still can't enter more than 2 street lines on iOS despite it working perfectly in Contacts on icloud.com....

Just found this quirky bug on 7.0.3 using iPhone 5. Can cut/paste and edit text in update description...

I remember people posting about that in previous iOS releases. I think the first time I read about it was when iOS 7.0 was released.

This is what I like about Apple they do issue updates and quicker than android.

So when are they going to fix the music app? Yes I submitted my feedback weeks ago. The music app is one of the most important apps for IOS and they neglected it in IOS7

There are bugs that will never be fixed just like there are bugs in iTunes that have existed for years.

I don't really get this: do people really use FaceTime or it is just a "cool" feature you're happy to have but never really make use of?

I use it all the time. Sometimes my young kids will facetime me when I'm at work. My 1 1/2 yr old responds to visuals, not sounds. Other times it's convenient if I'm at the store and I need my wife to confirm something. It's easier and faster than sending a picture message.

Can't wait to get home tonight and install. Hopefully, I can transfer music!

Well, welcome to the iPhone world. Hopefully you are enjoying the phone and appreciate the build quality of the iPhone that i feel is unrivaled in the phone world still. I tried the switch to Android not too long ago and was very frustrated with the updates and even though I liked some android features, I ended up back with iPhone after about 6 months. The virtual keyboard does take time, but eventually you'll get it down.

Hoping for a fix for on-off button locking up for 20 minutes at a time...could be hardware issue though. Very intermittent and frustrating.

I've seen this on my 5S. I go to wake the phone, nothing happens. OK, maybe I didn't press the button hard enough, let's try that again - nope, nothing. Fine, I'll click the home button 5 times. You still don't want to wake up? UUUGH, fine, I'll press the power button.

Power button doesn't do crap, screen still black. Press the power button a few more times, nothing.

Finally, almost randomly, the screen turns on. The next thing you hear is *shutter* *shutter* *shutter* *shutter* F#cking phone thinks you were trying to take a million pictures of your lock screen.

Siiiiigh...

Quite annoying indeed. The full black screenshots in my Phootstream are quiet witnesses.

The 4th gen iPod touch isn't capable of running iOS 7, so in order to fix Facetime for that device they had to release a 6.1.x update.

Yeah, I know. My point was that it is unusual for Apple to fix bugs on a device which isn't being sold anymore, and does not run the latest version of iOS. In my recollection, this is the first time they have released an update for an outdated version of iOS (could be wrong about this, feel free to correct me).
